priority dinner seating at 4:10?????

so i have to vent...

i called about 3-4 weeks ago and wanted to make a priority seating for hollywood and vine w/ the fantasmic package.. the women on the phone told me that the only time that she could book me on was at 10:00 p.m.!! now rememeber, it's october and the park closes at 7:30. she told me that was the only time that she could put us in for and to call back mid september to get a better time.. so i called back just now, just to see if the computer "glich" was fixed. now the rep told me that the only time that was open for the whole night was at 4:10!!!!! 4:10 for dinner!!??? he said that is the only thing he could give me and that there were only certain amount of fantasmic passes that they give out and that i should have called back sooner.. so 4:10 it is... looks like we won't have to eat lunch that day.. scratch those plans.

sorry, i am just really ticked off, and i had to tell somebody that would understand.. thanks for listening.

Keep trying. Most likely later times will open up about 3-4 weeks out. Good luck!

The same thing happened to us when booking the Fantasmic Dinner Pkg with The Brown Derby, original time for dinner was 4:00PM, as the time got closer to leave, we continued to call and about 30 days out from the reservation we were able to get it changed to 5:40PM. I had read somewhere on the Dis Boards, as the Moderator stated, to keep trying and it works! Good Luck

Just today I called to see if we could change our 4:20pm (!) Fantasmic dinner package PS for Hollywood and Vine to something later for a week from this coming Friday. She was able to get us in at 6:20pm and said she had several openings and gave me a choice. So I think they hold the later seatings for PS's till much closer to the actual date.

We had one of those 4:10 PS's for FDP in July. It actually worked out pretty well. We ate breakfast and then just snacked (PB&J shake at Tune-In Lounge, ice cream). Then we had a nice dinner and it gave the kids a little time to ride a few things before heading over to the back entrance for Fantasmic!. It really wasn't as bad as I thought it might be.

I just caled last night, and changed my 4:30 PS to 6:10 for next week. I don't know why they give you such a hard time, and make you call twice for the same dinner.

Make sure you use the toll free dining number, that way they get charged twice for making you wait.

we've got 4:10 ressies for H&V/FDP and i was tempted to change it to later, but have decided to stick with it, and if we're running late, i will just call and let them know... i like that we'll have eaten, and be "playing" at peak dinnertime, so the lines will be shorter while the rest of the 'world' eats dinner! then if we're hungry, we'll grab a popcorn or something to take into fantasmic w/us! (oh, and we'll eat a decent breakfast/skip lunch that day, so we end up saving calories and money!)

Not really on point, but this reminds me of our first trip to WDW in 1996. It was during a trip to the Tampa area that we decided to do a one day trip to the Magic Kingdom. Having never been to WDW before, we had no idea what to expect. We had heard about these "character meals", so my wife called, like, three days ahead to try to get one. We ended up at the Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner at 4:30. It was very weird eating that early, but it sure taught us a lesson for our subsequent trips about advance planning.

Yeah..we got a 4:10 dinner seating too. Kinda sucks..but it really worked out for us. We have a two year old who I'm sure will be hungry by then.
