I just bought this sweater at my local Walmart for $11. I am either going to return it tomorrow and order it online or get a price match. My daughter told me that if you have the Walmart app and it can track you, they will know your in the store and update the price to what it is currently selling for at the particular store you are at! Word of warning, I am now going to be watching my Walmart prices like a hawk. Gotta learn to play thier game and win!

Online prices can be different than in- store prices. Sometimes stores will match the prices, other times they don’t/can’t. You can sometimes order things online and pick them up in a store. Some items can be delivery only though.
Right. But when my daughter told me that the online prices can change to the store price once they detect your in the store, that made my blood boil. But anything to do with surveillance pricing, anywhere does.

I was surprised to see a video shot in a Walmart on the East Coast in the produce section. Prices were exactly the same as they are here 2,800 miles away.

You need to understand the policy of the store before you complain or go nuclear and call them out.

Walmart is upfront about their pricing being what it is online vs in store. I found that exact sweater and it is listed as $7.00 online but here's what it also states is that the $7.00 is the price when purchased online

Also to understand, while you can waste your effort if you want to on getting your money back their policy is price match is not applicable to special pricing deals which includes clearance items which is what your item is

Now they do say

Target also has things like "when purchased online" pricing.

Another thing regarding pricing store to store is this is common throughout the years IME. JCP for example the one at our local mall closest to me frequently price marks down their items 1) to clearance earlier 2) lower clearance price than the JCP located in a different part of the metro. You want good deals you're more often than not going to get it at the one by the mall. Costco between the two immediate locations near me the one closest to me has the exact same thing 1) clearance earlier 2) lower clearance pricing. They don't price match each other and JCP doesn't price match clearance. I believe Costco could be managerial discretion.

I did already repurchase it online for $7 and had them deliver it to me today and will be taking the $11 purchase back when I go pick up my prescription today. Easy peasy.👍

That works (assuming they keep track of your purchases and returns I'd keep that to a minimum) just keep in mind it doesn't make a company have "greedy games" just because you're unwilling to look at what the screen easily tells you
