Prioritizing Extra Magic Hour over Magic Morning for split stay

Hi, we'll be spending the first half of our trip at the GCH, but will do the last half off site to save money. We have 5 day tickets, so we have 1 Magic Morning, which will only be available on days they also have EMH correct? If the schedule never changes, it might be a moot point since it looks like Tuesday is the only day the first half of the week EMH/MM is offered at DL and that is the day I have planned as our rest day.

Since we get Extra Magic Hours while we are staying at GC, is there any way I can know that my MM entitlement was not used if we rope drop DL? I'd prefer not to start at CA every day just to avoid that. Should I just check with the front desk at the grand sometime before we check out? I thought about asking the CMs when we scan in, but I'm not sure they have any way of overriding it.

MM is only Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at DL.

If you’re scanning in for a regular rope drop, it won’t take your MM away.

Right, but my concern is if I want to take advantage of a day they have EMH at DL, like Tuesday. MM would also be offered that day.

You just tell them at the gate that you’ll be moving off-site and don’t want your MM scanned. I thought you said Tuesday was your rest day, so it wouldn’t come up, but that’s what you’d do. Hope that helps!

Never mind I just re-read that you are only staying on property the first half. I agree with why Skyegirl said just tell them please don't use the MM use your EMH.
