Printing DVD covers

Does anyone know of a (preferably free) download for making DVD jewel case covers? I am putting together a movie from clips and photos of DDs soccer season and will make one for each of her teammates. I'd like to make the outer cover fairly nice. I have Printshop but the version I have has no DVD template. Any thoughts?

Do a search on google (under the images tab probably) for them. I could send you a jpg of a template, but I'm not sure it would work in your printshop. PM me if you would like to give it a try.

MediaFace4 has a 10 day trial. They have all sorts of label/jewel case formats.

Avery has a free template program that works with Word. I don't know if they will have the template you are looking for.

I was gonna PM this but figured I should just post it here in the discussion -

If you purchase the Memorex labelling kit (which you would need a kit with labels/stamper etc so you can make the DVDs) it comes with a easy enough version of their 'design' software that you can use. It also has a bunch of templates for other pieces of software but Printshop is not one of them.

And don't buy the 'cheap' blank DVDs - the fail rate and 'problem' rate is MUCH higher for the ones that always are on sale at Best Buy/CC/etc. I've had to author a TON of DVDs and was making a coaster for every 9 ones I was able to burn. Plus of the ones that did burn ok, there were errors on 1 or 2 of them. By spending a little more on the DVDs, you get better quality - less mistakes and all the other parents will be able to play the DVDs.
