Printer Thoughts

I am curious if the type printer makes a huge difference in the overall look of the disigns? I have narrowed down the disigns I want to use and have ordered amy's transfers for them, but do not have a great printer. Does a "photo printer" work better than any other inkjet?

Thanks for any thoughts. I am willing to get a new printer if I need one-that's not too crazy for our disney wold trip is it?

I have an HP Photosmart printer but I think any standard inkjet printer would work perfectly fine. Your best bet would be to just try it out on one transfer/shirt. I would not think that you NEED to go out a buy a new printer (well unless you REALLY want one and just need an excuse, ha ha).

First, I don't understand why printer ink is so expensive. Sorry I just had to get that off of my chest.

I have an HP 4 in 1 ink jet printer and really like it. I also purchased an expensive dell laser printer but it curls card stock paper. Very frustrating!

My only suggestion is do not buy a leximark printer. They are the cheapest printers to buy but have some of the most expensive printer ink. They get a lot of people to buy their printers because they are the cheapest on the market until you realize that their ink can be more expensive than other companies. So they real you in with a cheap printer and then get you on the back side with ink prices.

My sister has a canon printer and really likes it especially since you can buy the ink colors separately. If you run out of red...all you have to replace is the red. With my HP printer if I run out of red, I have to replace all of the colors.

I know this doesn't really help answer your question but it will give you some things to research and consider when looking for your new printer.

I have a Epson work force 500....it WAS awesome...but now I have lines going through my print...I've cleaned and aligned and done many nozzle tests....nothing helps....and YES the ink is way toooo expensive...
