hi! i have a res for crt for lunch and the next morning for the princess breakfast at epcot. should i cancel the epcot res to save a dining credit? will my daughter (6) see the same princess?

also... i have the ddp. if i dont use all 3 credits in a day can i carry them over to the next? thanks!

Yes - your credits aren't 'per day'. If you're staying for 5 days on the Deluxe Dining Plan, you'll have 15 table-service credits per person. You can use as many (or as few) as you want on any day.

Assuming you're on Deluxe Plan, I'd keep them both. It's possible you could have Aurora, Snow White, Jasmine, and Ariel at both...

Just to clarify, dining credits are calculated per how many nights, not how many days your stay is. So a 5 day / 4 night trip on the DxDDP would be 12 dining credits, not 15.

We went to both CRT and Akershus in November and saw the same princesses: Cinderella, Aurora, Snow, Ariel and Belle. Although Belle is in her yellow gown at Akershus and her blue dress at CRT.

We went to both places this part May and last month and I can say we have seen the same princesses at both place both times but we prefer the princesses experience and interaction better at Akershus.

Our 1st trip we did CRT, and saw SW, SB, Jasmine, Belle(blue dress), and Cindy on way in for the picture. The 2nd trip we did Akershus and saw SW, SB, Cindy, Ariel(in green dress), and Belle(yellow dress) for pic. Of course, it's always changing, but there will be some overlap. I was glad we did both, as DD really wanted to meet Ariel in "human form", as we had met her before w/fins in her Grotto(now closed for Fantasyland construction), and she got to see Belle in yellow. Also, we got to chat w/Cindy more, since you only see her for pics at CRT. DD liked both, but said she'd really like to go back to the castle (little does she know I have it booked for Thanksgiving morn:goodvibes!)

If I could only do 1, it would be CRT -very magical being inside the castle, but if you have plenty of credits, I would go for it!

i think im worried about her noticing that they are different "people" dressed up. did your daughter realize?

I don't think she will notice. Disney princesses all look alike; makeup, hair, clothes. Unless she's very astute, she will just see "princesses".

We like both the CRT and the Akershaus princess experiences. They are different.

At CRT, princesses (and sometimes the princes) come to each table and interact and then they are gone. At Akershaus, they interact in the same way but they also parade around the room with the children and that is very nice.

Enjoy! :)

When we went, we met Cinderella, Belle in her blue dress, and Sleeping Beauty at breakfast at CRT. Later, we met most of them again for the meet & greet at the town square theater. I could tell that the princesses were different but DW and DD could not. I wouldn't sweat it.

I have CRT booked for dinner one evening and then Akershus booked for breakfast the next day. I made my DD an appointment at BBB on the day we're doing CRT. After reading that the hair will stay up, I went ahead and book Akershus for the next morning, so DD can dress up as a princess 2 times. Plus, we did Akershus last year and really enjoyed it. I'm sure my DD will see princess multiple times just like last time. She saw Belle 3 times, Cinderella 3 times, Aurora 3 times, and Ariel 2 times. And each time she had her picture taken with them and had them sign her autograph book. She never said anything about the princesses being different people.

We never did the two back to back, so I don't know if DD would've noticed, but I think being in different settings, and some being in different dresses makes it not as noticeable as well. This time we will do CRT and then 1900PF that night, so only 1 princess overlap. Like the PP, I'm getting BBB done for DD before CRT brft for her and I(all a surprise - can't wait to see her face!) and then we'll all have Thanksgiving dinner at 1900PF, and back to MK next day to meet Rapunzel - getting my money's worth out of the hairdo and nails!

We took DD when she was 4 and went to CRT one morning and Akershus another morning and we went to every princess greeting we found. We saw Belle numerous times and DD never noticed a difference between them other than their dresses (yellow, blue) and never noticed a difference. Really, while DH and I understood there were different people involved they all did such a fantastic job of really making DD feel so special that it wasn't until we got home and looked at pictures that it was glaringly obvious there were differences. That was pretty easy to fix - I just printed off the best of each princess and kept the others electronically.

One other thing we did that trip was we purchased princess gowns on clearance after halloween. She went as Cinderella that year but we bought Belle and Aurora dresses at huge discounts and she wore a different dress in the parks each day. She LOVED getting to do that and it made for great pictures and some amazing moments that still bring tears to my eyes.

She's 8 now and I think she'll still enjoy interacting with princesses this trip but we no longer have the little girl in awe of real princesses and I'm so glad we experienced as much as we could the last time we went.

On our trip two months ago, we did Ankershus in the morning and CRT for dinner. I am probably in the minority, but I did not like Ankershus very much at all. I much prefer the food, ambiance and character interaction at CRT.

Last trip (july) we did both dining experiences (breakfast for both). I prefer the ambiance at CRT, but my kids like to pick their own food at the Storybook breakfast.

This time we saw the exact same princesses at both my kids (6 and 4) did not notice...my husband (35 did :)). Aurora, Cinderella, Belle (yellow dress Storybook, blue dress CRT) Ariel, and Snow White.

We were at the Storybook breakfast 2 years ago and had Jasmine and Mary Poppins show up, unexpected, and nice :)

Enjoy your trip, sounds like a lot of fun.

Our DD is 6 and has been to all the character meals several times over the past 4 years and also generally stalks them around the parks. ;) last year she started to notice differences, but here is her take on things (I just asked her). She believes the "real" Cinderella is at CRT and the "real" Belle is at a Akershus. The "real" Ariel is in her grotto, the "real" Mary Poppins is in Epcot at England, the "real" Snow White is in Germany, the real Jasmine is in Agrabah with Alaadin in MK, you get the point. So the other ones are just people dressed up...and she is fine with that! Although, I think it was Cindy that she saw twice in one day on the last trip and Cindy asked her the same question...our DD responded with, you already asked me that this morning!:rotfl2:

Of course, Cindy responded politely as any princess would and said something like she was sorry that she had forgotten.
Personally, I would not cancel Akershus, but we love it there. They are just different experiences in my opinion. Actually, DD says if she could only go to one, she'd pick Akershus! If your DD has not been to either, I'd keep both ressies if you can. Our DD usually dresses up like Cindy on the CRT day and Belle on the Akershus day. We've also seen Mary Poppins at both restaurants before.

Have fun! :)
