Princesses dressed like pirates?

Take a look at my princesses dressed like pirates for the May 2008 Pirate and Princess party! We decided to dress like pirates for the party and dress like princesses for the Storybook breakfast at Akershus. If you have any pics of your girls dresses as pirates, please post.

It took some arm twisting to convince them the Ms. Swan could make a fashion statement. A few friendly comments from the resident pirates made them feel right at home at the P&P Party. Thanks for the feedback!

Your girls are gorgeous! It's so nice to see little girls in something other than the princess dresses (although my daughter loves them!)

I posted some pics of my girls in princess-mode. These were taken on the way to the Akershus storybook breakfast. Princess Jasmine made such a fuss over them. They were tickled pink!

Your girls are so cute! There is just something about pirates that little girls like. My DD6 is the biggest princess fan. However, for her 4th birthday party she wanted a pirate party. She dressed like a pirate, had a pirate ship cake and black frosting cupcakes. Needless to say, the little boys at the party had a good time. A few months ago, she asked me if it was okay if she married Orlando Bloom.

Hi! I like this thread. Your girls are really cute too. My one daughter is obsessed with POTC. In her world it is all about Jack Sparrow. We were there in May for my kids' Birthday. Makayla wouldn't settle for a regular Princess dress when she knew she would get to meet Jack at the P&P Party. Here she is ............

You know.....I found myself wanting a pirate costume myself. There wer quite a few adults dressed up for the party. Maybe next time.

You're family looks great. Very creative. You disboutiquers inspire me to run out and buy a sewing machine! I'm gonna need lessons though.

Home made outfits really stand out in a sea of store bought costumes.
