Princesses don't hit, kick or spit! A May/June TR Update 10/17 Snow White Theme Night

You got some good pictures! I loved the MSEP! I'll probably mention this later in my TR, but: It wasn't until during the parade that I realized my DD had no idea who Elliot was, she's never seen Pete's Dragon.. then DH tells me he hasn't either!!! So, it's on my netflix list now lol.
So sorry your DS got sick! Hope it wasn't anything more than overeating! I would have been annoyed with your MIL too!
And ohhh I bet Jungle cruise would be fun in the dark!! :goodvibes

I love the MSEP pictures, such a great parade!! Sounds like your kids are troopers when they aren't feeling well. Hope the sickness faded quickly!!

I thought your MSEP pictures were very good. I have trouble with my camera settings too.

Awww. Two sick in one night. :( I hope that a little rest fixed everything and you got to continue with your trip.

I think your electrical parade pics turned out great! I was still trying to figure my new camera out on our trip, too.

Your parade pictures are great!! I can't wait to catch that one on this trip coming up :goodvibes

I am so sorry to hear that the kids were getting sick in the park though :sad2:

Totally love your pics. Don't hold back - I demand more! :teeth:

So sorry to hear that first Sam got sick, then Ben!!! And I'm very sorry that your MiL upset you over it. Honestly, I would have been upset that they didn't appear to be concerned over the boys' health ... and in your context, I totally would have been peeved.

Anxious to hear how the boys felt the next day!!!

Parade pics look great. Sorry to hear about the boys being sick and having to deal with that.

Love the Elliott pictures. DD loved Pete's Dragon when she was little, we had to watch it over and over...now she swears she does not remember the movie at all.

Ugh...2 kids sick in 1 night and a MIL/DH/DS/DN who are unconcerned...YIKES you deserve saint hood! Although I would probably be the mom who tells them to get over it we are at WDW and on a touring plan...being sick does not fit into my plan! :lmao:

I think you must of had the same Jungle Cruise captain as I did last summer...

she was awesome! Poor girl, I wonder how many pictures she has taken of her every day! The only thing I hated about the Jungle Cruise is the deceptive line...just when you think you are about to the front the line...it winds another way!

Hi :) I am loving your trip report!

1) Your kids are adorable!
2) I *LOVE* your theme nights, I am definitely going to borrow some of those ideas!
3) Your surprise reveal was awesome, I hope that I will be able to keep a secret long enough to do a big reveal! I already feel like bursting, and our trip isn't until April/May!

Can't wait to read about the rest of your trip!! :goodvibes

Thanks so much for reading!

Borrow away for your theme nights, if you haven't already seen it there is a great thread over on the families board full of theme night ideas! Isn't it hard to keep the surprise? I got such a great reaction that I would love to do it again someday but not sure I could keep my mouth shut for that long again:rotfl:

My kids have never seen Pete's Dragon either so don't worry, there was a poster in our room at Pop that had him on it and I had to explain who he was. It's on our summer list for Netflix too!

The Jungle Cruise was pretty cool at night! I wanted to go back the next day we were in MK and do it in the daylight but my ODS and DH said once a trip was enough for them, lol.

Thanks, I loved the parade but must admit I think I like Spectro better! Yes my kids are pretty good troopers when sick, they get that from me though because my DH is a complete baby when he's sick, lol.

Thanks, glad to see I am the only one with camera issues, I one of those people that don't read the directions just try to learn on my own but with this new camera I am out of my league.

The kids did get better thanks, being sick at the most magical place of Earth is no fun!

Thanks for sharing the parade pics - they all look great! :thumbsup2

Oh no on the kids getting sick - hope they were feeling better soon.

Thanks, sick kids are no fun but at least it happened at the end of our day;)

Oh there will be plenty more pictures, you don't have to worry about that!:rotfl:

Yes I was pretty peeved with my MIL, I truely do love her but like every MIL she has her moments:rolleyes1

Your parade pictures are great!! I can't wait to catch that one on this trip coming up :goodvibes

Thanks Shannon, you'll love the parade! It did suck for them to be sick but they did get better :thumbsup2

I think your electrical parade pics turned out great! I was still trying to figure my new camera out on our trip, too.

Thanks about the pictures, on our next trip I hope to have the camera figured out so I can get even better ones;)

I know right, don't these kids know that getting sick doesn't fit into my plans:rotfl: To his defense, Sam did just get over it, he got sick and still wanted to ride things. He is a trooper:thumbsup2

That's funny about the Jungle Cruise captian, she was really nice with the kids. That night we had no wait for the ride, I swear during Wishes was a great time to hit up the rides!

Thanks for sharing the parade pics - they all look great! :thumbsup2

I'm glad you enjoyed the parade pics. Don't worry the kids weren't sick for long!

The next day was our first day at Epcot. It was also the day we were meeting up with some of DH's family. For those of you that read my PTR you know that I was a bit stressed about the last minute addition of 8 people, I had to scurry around and find a restuarant that would accomadate 16 people with less than a weeks notice:scared1: I'll warn you now that we didn't do too much this day, we were there all day but trying to tour with 16 people was not easy, especially for this former park commando girl. And I swear I think we stopped like 20 times because someone had to use the bathroom:rolleyes1

With our late night at MK and 2 sick kids I decided there was no rush to wake up early and be at rope drop, we could all use a little extra sleep. Of course a "little" more meant waking up at 8am, everyone knows there is no REAL sleeping in at Disney :rotfl: I got the kids up, fed and dressed. Thankfully the boys were both feeling great this morning and were raring to go. Sam had a spot on his foot where it looked like his Crocs were rubbing against it so I went to have him wear his sneakers and realized I forgot to pack any socks for him and Ben:scared1: My MIL went down to the food court to get coffee and looked for socks at the gift shop but all they ahd were baby socks. Sam said he would be ok for the day and I figured I would be able to find something later at Epcot for him.

Even with our "late" start, we actually ended up getting to Epcot earlier than I thought, just a few minutes after rope drop. Can you guess what the first order of business was? Photopass pics of course! :lmao:

DH and Christian then took our tickets and ran over to get FPs for Soarin. We didn't need them since we have GACs for the boys but we were going to give them for DH's family to use so we could all ride together. While they did that I spotted someone who has alluded us the past few years. Finally we'd get to meet Daisy! Stitch came up a little ways away too but I don't think anyone really noticed him because he had noone around him so after Daisy we got to spend a good few minutes with him.

While we were visiting the characters my MIL went over to Mousegears and found Sam some socks. 3 pairs of socks for get this, $16 :sad2: Something I definately would have been too cheap to buy but she said they were on her so we kept the socks. If it were me I would have had DH run to Walmart later after the parks and bought socks;)

DH had told his cousin that we would meet at the entrance to Spaceship Earth so we couldn't really go anywhere far and it was still going to be a little while before they got there so I asked the kids if they wanted to go get their Mickey Ears. Would you believe that it was our 3rd visit to WDW and no one had gotten ears yet? Emily has a pair that she got at the opening day of our Disney Store but thats it! So I took the little guys over to Mousegears while the rest waited for the family. Sam choose the Haunted Mansion ears much to my delight (remember it's my favorite ride) and Emily choose the princess ears. Ben declined getting ears, I pushed for the cute Cars ones since he's likes Cars so much but he didn't want any.

By the time we were done shopping and made our way back to SSE, DH's family had just showed up. This is a good time to introduce the rest of our group. There's Aunt Joan, MIL's sister, her DS, his DW and their 2 DSs (20 and 15). Then there's Aunt Joan's DD, her DH and their DD (20). We said our hellos and decided to ride Spaceship Earth, the wait said 20 minutes but it felt longer. I was the odd man out since DH, Ben and DC's DH sat out of the ride so I had to ride by myself, hence the solo future picture :rotfl:

After SSE the FPs were ready so we went over to The Land to ride Soarin. We split up so we were on 2 different lifts, the kids and I got in row one so no dangling feet:woohoo: As always we loved the ride! Next up was Living with the Land, I have never actually riden this so I was excited for something new! The older boys ran over to TT while we did this one for snag FPs for later.

We all really like the ride, even DH who I thought would be bored out of his mind! Next up food! We were all hungry by this point. Where would we eat, is there any CS place that 16 people would agree upon?

I am so enjoying reading about your trip. I almost feel like I am with you. :rotfl: We will be at Disney in two weeks, so keep the stories coming, please. popcorn::

I SO agree about the challenges of touring with a large group. We had 13 for a couple of days on our June trip last year - and I found out that DH's family was joining us ON THE DRIVE THERE! So, I am kind of reliving that stress through your TR.

I love the Mickey ears that your kids picked. Only my youngest has a set and his is from the Harmony Barber shop so the most basic.

Your pictures from the Land ride are great.

Love the ears that the kids chose, so cute!! I am really interested in seeing how you guys managed with such a large group, I know that must have been so tough!

Oh man, yeah, I'd probably get so frustrated trying to tour with 16 people! My husband and kids are hard enough to put up with. :rotfl2:

Love the ears!! :lovestrucbWe need to get ears next trip, my kids only wanted the sorcerer's hats!!

LOVE the Mickey Ears! I think we need to get some new ones next trip. My boys each have some from the Harmony Barber Shop...they say My First Haircut on the back...and the boys are now 11 and nearly 7! They were 1 when they got their first haircuts at MK!

That's on my wish list for the next trip! Though I have to say I was really tempted to get a pair of those patriotic ears myself this trip!
