Princesses don't hit, kick or spit! A May/June TR Update 10/17 Snow White Theme Night

Looks like a fun time at Crystal Palace. Love the pics of the the character flower things. Also love the kids matching shirts to go along with your character breakfast!

You noticed the shirts! Yes, I plan my kids outfits according to what park and restaurant we'll be eating at :rotfl: Next year I have to work on coordinating colors for the whole family like your going to do;)

The Crystal Palace breakfast looks like a great ADR, we've only ever done dinner here, but your pics have me considering breakfast at some point.

I so agree with you on the smell of Stich's burp...that defintely keeps me from wanting to ride it too

Can't wait for more:goodvibes

Hi! I am really enjoying your TR!

You have such adorable kids. :goodvibes
Thanks so much, glad to have you along!

OMG that Stitch! I had never riden the ride since it switched over from Alien Encounter and I think I would have been just fine never experiencing it!

When planning for my trip I discovered the Disney theme night thread. We did quite a few over the last 9 months (you can find those on my PTR) and my kids have grown to look forward to them so even though our trip is over I plan on continuing the nights. Our latest was Lilo and Stitch. After spending the day at the pool (not the beach but we were in water;)) we came home and watched the movie first, it has been years since we've seen this so it was fun to watch. While watching the movie the kids did our one and only craft, some coloring pages and a Lilo and Stitch word search. I know I slacked on this one but I totally forgot about a craft! Dinner was chicken kabobs on the grill, sticky rice, noodles, a Thai salad from CPK and fruit. Dessert was pineapple cupcakes. After dinner the kids did the limbo and DD was trying to show the boys how to hula or at least how she thinks it's done :rotfl:

Another great Disney Dinner night. We have decided to contine to do theme nights to except they have to be for Universal. The kids have decided that they want to do Universal next year.:scared1: I don't know if I can take being in Orlando without visiting my favorite Mouse.

Hi. Hope I'm not to late. Your PP pics are great. We didn't get as many as we usually do on our last trip. I feel the same way about my pic being taken but if we look back at our trips I'm hardly in any pics so DH now will take the camera from me at times so now there proof I was on the trip. Your Theme nights are wonderful. I might start doing those. My girls would love it. Can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip. We were there at the same time

OP great report! I haven't read others post but is that a Mike's Hard lemonade your niece is drinking? If so you might want to change the picture.

Great report though.

Great report though.

I never even noticed the Mikes sitting there but no it was not hers. My MIL was sitting next to her while the kids were doing their craft so it must have been hers, maybe my DN was holding it like that so the kids wouldn't accidently kick it over? I don't know but either way before the liquor board gets called on me I'd just like to say that I do not condone underage drinking, lol.

Thanks for reading!

Thanks, we are also going to Universal on our next trip so I thought about throwing some different movies in the mix as well!

Thanks for joining in! I have to say I was so happy with the PP this year, although I hate getting my pic done, it is nice to see that I was actually there!

You do awesome theme nights. That dinner looks great! :thumbsup2

Thanks, I must admit dinner was thrown together pretty quickly, I had planned it all out which helped and ODS helped out alot too!

WHEW! Good to know. i was a little worried but did not want to assume! I love all your family night ideas. So well planned.

Do you have your dates for your Universal trip yet? We are thinking about May 25-June 3, 2012. With so many days, I might be able to squeeze in a couple days at Disney.

Great CP update! Can't wait to have breakfast here! :thumbsup2

Love your movie night - limbo time looks like fun! Keep em coming!

Great picture of all of you with the castle in the background :thumbsup2

I hate Stitch's Great Escape and I just can't imagine someone liking it, but DBF told me he kind of likes it :scared1:

The last picture of Ben in the stroller is awesome, love that smile :thumbsup2

Your theme nights are always so great, looks like the kids were having a lot of fun!

Chiming in finally! I have been lurking. Love your report and the title!!! You will love Universal. But to be honest you only need about 2 days to cover it! You can get a day or so at WDW. We did both parks in one day and were able to see all the we wanted and more. I think with kids you can easily cover it two days tops.

I love your theme nights. Sooo Cool and detailed. :thumbsup2

Can't wait to read more.

We then went to watch Philharmagic where I had my first major freakout of the trip. We go in, I have Ben in his stroller (we had the stroller as a wheelchair sticker) and I had Sam holding onto the stroller beside me. That leaves 1 more child and 4 big people to watch her. As usual my MIL is in her own world so she's just walking along, DN and DS were there with me and then I see DH walking in from just parking the other stroller. UMMM, where is Emily???????????????????? DH says she's right here with you, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, she's not! I immediately get in panic mode because I just do whenever one of my kids are missing, I told MIL to hold Sam's hand and the stroller and the rest of us run outside searching frantically. Thankfully Christian finds her right away, guess where she was? DH had left her in the stroller! She had just gotten out and was looking for us. DH still swears he didn't leave her in the stroller, but he did. As you can imagine I was annoyed, for the rest of the trip I made sure I had my eyes on all of the kids at all times! Now I take my kids to all kinds of places while DH is at work, we go to the mall, museums in DC, the zoo, you name it, I like to keep the kids busy in the summer so we do lots of things. By myself I have never lost a kid, they know to stay beside me at all times, they do not walk off but when other people are around guess what? Someone gets lost, Sam has gotten lost both in the National Aquarium and for a few minutes in NYC once, both times my MIL and DH were with us, those were just the big ones but it seems when other people are around I tend to loosen the reins a bit and assume that one of the other adults are watching them. Well I learned my lesson. Ok enough about that, can you tell I'm still a bit upset? :rotfl:

:lmao: Are our husbands related?! I swear men have no common sense when it comes to children and crowds...it is like I am taking care of 1 more child when he is around! I sure hope you have him the major glare and a good what for later that night!

We finally started to head out of the park, DH then decided we should all get ice cream so he stopped at ice cream parlor and asked what we wanted. Nobody including the kids actually wanted ice cream so instead of him just going in and getting himself some he pouted the rest of the way out of the park. We had to have a little talking to about how he had to act like an adult and stop pouting becase he didn't get his ice cream. I know crazy I had to speak to a 41 yr old about pouting but he gets in these moods and I was not going to have him ruin our day over ice cream. We finally got out of the park and back to the resort for swim/rest time.

Next up, would we ever make it back to the park?

:lmao:I am thinking of a new TR title for you...NO, I did not Kill DH on our trip...but if I had it would have been justified!

Welcome to the dark side...we are doing a double feature summer movie afternoon...one Disney and one Universal...how is that for a tease?

Love the Lilo and Stitch night...did you make yourself a Lapu Lapu? We have this movie night ready for when we are at the cabin after the 4th...and I think we did our shopping in the same place as you did :)!
