Princesses at DCA?

Have any of you seen any princesses out at DCA? Or, is my best bet to take my daughter to AG? I haven't see them, but that doesn't mean they aren't there. We are making a one day trip and only going to DCA. My DD3 was very disapointed that she didn't meet more princesses last time, so I know I have to find at least a few for her this time - and I don't have a ton of time to do it. Suggestions?

No princesses at DCA, except for at Ariel's Grotto. We did the AG experience once before and it was ok. A little chaotic I feel. SO crowded in there that time with the princess is VERY limited. BUT, you do get to see 4-5 of them and get a photo and autograph, so that's nice! :) You will see other characters milling about DCA too! I've seen Donald and Goofy, Chip and Dale, The Incredibles, Monsters Inc Characters (our FAVES!) and Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates! And you can see Toy Story Characters near the toy story ride. Of course, the cars characters are in carsland too!

You know, I'd like to make a suggestion. Ariel's Grotto is pretty pricey for what you get, IMO. I would really recommend just upgrading to a one day park-hopper instead and then you can just pop across the way to Disneyland park to see the Princesses there. You can meet Rapunzel there in her house, and there is a new Merida Brave meet and greet too. All the other princess mill around the castle sometimes, or you can see them in the Princess Faire area near It's a small world! All of them are also in the parade, and it is a REALLY fun, CUTE parade that runs multiple times/day! If Princesses are a MUST, this is definitely what I would do this over Ariel's Grotto! :)

I knew I'd seen lots of other characters and that they'd chaged things since the whole CL/BVS opening, so I was hoping maybe I could skip AG. She won't care about the others -- only the princesses. sigh. I was thinking about sending the boys (DH, DS5 and DS7) to do something else while I take DD3 to meet princesses.

ETA - I wonder if it would be cheaper to upgrade only DD3 and me to run over and meet princesses rather than doing AG... and if the boys would be mad if I didn't upgrade them, too...

We used to see Princesses in the Animation Academy, but we didn't see them there the last trip. We just did AG, we ate a great meal (and we were all hungry! lol) and enjoyed the ladies coming around to see us.

We loved our AG experience. Great meal and the princessed came to us. In DCA, that is the only place I've seen them.

We enjoyed our Ariel's Grotto experience too. It is definitely rushed and I was a bit annoyed at that...but the look on my daughter's face meeting five princesses in one shot was priceless. My husband took my other two kids around doing other things while I took my little one there, which saved us money! :) Although there is not alot of time with each princess, they all spoke to her, asked questions, signed autographs and posed for pictures. I think there was even more interaction there than there was when we waited (an HOUR and a HALF!) to meet three princesses in the princess section at DL...plus it was air conditioned and had food. Lol. So personally, I thought it was worth that money. If five princesses (we met Ariel, Snow White, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella at the lunch) are not enough, then you may have to head over to DL. Good luck!

Rushed could be good for us - since I'm limited to one day and have other kids that want to do things. Getting eating and meeting princesses all done in one swoop is probably the way to go.

I can send the boys to eat somewhere less girly (and less expensive).

In 2008 we saw Snow White in front the the animation building. In 2010 we saw Jasmine near the Hyperion Theater.

We were there this summer and only saw princesses at Ariel's Grotto, but we weren't really looking for them.
