princess tea vs. 2 or 3 GF kids activities

I'm trying to decide whether to take DD4 to the princess tea at GF on our upcoming trip or let her do several of the GF kids offerings instead.

I know she'd love either. I thought I had it all worked out and had signed up the pirate, cooking and alice tea but then my parents invited themselves along :sad2: and all bets are now off.
Parents know we're meeting friends there - don't know we already planned many dinners/lunches before they decided to tag along. So I was thinking of something to bring us together (believe me, that isn't always easy) and thought "well great mom always wants to do something with DD4 princess: so she can do tea."
Mentioned it to the dear lady and was told dad says that was too much money for a short program. I suspect she really just didn't want to bother with a kids' program but didn't want to say it. Money is not an issue for them and she's not the type for mother/daughter things...

Okay, so I might have had no interest in it before, but now I want to take DD just for spite. (Gonna be a great trip, can't you just see it now? Nobody can push our buttons like our mothers and mine does it well - and often...)
I tell mom maybe I'll cancel the other things I have planned for DD and take her to tea myself and she goes off about how she'd never leave a child alone, trusting strangers to supervise even for an hour. "Theme parks are just full of pedifiles looking to kidnap children..." yada, yada, yada....
Now she most certainly left us when we were growing up but of course "it's a different world today." I asked her to rethink going on vacation at all cause I most certianly intend to let both kids experience a bit of independant magic as long as they wanted to go and would be safe.

SO - my question to those who have done it is - Would you do the princess tea or more than one of the less expensive children's adventures? I've read the reviews and DD Loves Princesses. We do have CRT lunch and GF dinner with cindy planned though so she will get a major infusion of pixie dust from those without the tea, if neccessary. Then again, one tea party and my schedule open could be a nice option also. We travel often so it's not like we can't do either activity again. We go to WDW like other people in our area go to the ocean - just to relax and soak up a little magic. We normally use a "lazy butt touring plan" and typically don't have a set agenda besides meals.

What would you do with a 4 yr old if time and $$ weren't a major issue? DD16 and friends are always doing special tours, surfing, swimming with dolphins, ect. in WDW. I thought this could be the year DD4 gets to have a special something to do too... Want to help me decide what?
