Princess Suite?

I know there's a YOMD giveway in DisneyLAND too, that's a penthouse suite or something like that. Is it possible that's where the family went and that that suite is available for "rent"????

Wow! I have stayed in the Castle Suite, and I must say I'd rather have the $250,000. I could take 50 WDW trips with that money! LOL!

Congrats on winning your stay in the suite!

(But I agree....I would love to stay in the suite but if given the choice between one night in the suite and $250,000.... I'll take the cash! I could stay at AKL concierge for like a month on that!)

This is my favorite part of the story. I'm a Disney rookie and even I know that just getting a room at the CR with MK view can be tough. We're supposed to believe that there's ONE room IN THE CASTLE and it's available in May? :teacher:

May be in 2047

I asked the woman (who is usually nice as pie...) which resort the castle room was in... She said in the Magic Kingdom... I said which Magic Kingdom resort??? She said NO in the castle like the one for Walt...

She must have started questioning herself because she called her son in law and asked about the princess suite again and he said that his spoiled wife wanted to stay in the castle so much that he pretended to try and get a room. The princess suite her niece stayed in was actually in a resort... not "THE CASTLE" She is taking me to lunch to eat humble pie.
hehehehe:rotfl:

I asked if they were going to the pirate and princess party as they are so very fond of princesses... and well the mighty :worship: relative travel agent dropped the ball as they didn't know anything about it and could I pull some strings and get them some tickets. I just had to get off the phone.:rotfl:

That's pretty funny:laughing:
I like the part about the guy BS'ing the spoiled wife :rotfl:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: That is too funny!! Boy, if the son had to lie to his spoiled wife, imagine if she ever found out the truth :scared1:

Now that was a funny answer that I wasn't expecting! LOL Glad you had a nice lunch...

Sounds like my Best Friend are her dad one day she came to school saying that they were going to stay in the Walt Suite on DCL and it was only going to cost them $2000 and that her sister couldnt wait to spend the night with goofy and I tried to tell her her dad had incorrect information and she told me i had incorrect information then she went off telling me that she could eat in Palo and were only 14 O gosh I wanted to set her straight but she kept saying i was lying

Hmmm.. I think your neighbor is confused. There's only one room in the Castle and that's only available to the YOAMD winners.

Since the fact that the suite is not available at any price has been settled there is another sore point that I would like to address.

So many times that space has been referred to as the place that was originally intended for Walt. Walt died in 1966. Construction never started until at least a couple of years after his death, so, no it was never intended for Walt's use. It might have been intended for Roy or other family members, but, unless Walt haunted it or there was an exceptionally large Freezer in there:rotfl:. Anyway, it is misleading and it is carried even further by the Disney commercial that states that it was designed by Walt.

The room that Walt was involved with is the one at Disneyland. It has been done up for the YOAMD and Walt had originally intended it as a place to entertain VIP's. He had his apartment over the firehouse, remember?

If I win a night I'll be sure to look for anything that could be a freezer in disguise.
