I'm lost... I was told today that there is a Princess Suite in the Castle that you can rent... like the suite you can win a nights say in with the year of a million dreams. (But a different one not intended for Walt)

I had a rather heated discussion with my neighbor. She said her niece stayed in it (last week)and cried and cried when she had to leave... Then she said her son in law tried to rent it for his up coming trip next week and was out of luck because the next available time was May 25th. I think he was blowing wind up his Mother in laws skirt trying to impress her and I think there is no such 2nd suite.

My neighbor went on to say I had never heard of it or had access to it because I'm not a travel agent... :scared1:

Help me out here....:rotfl:

someone is off their rocker... there is only one... you have to be selected and win the nights stay... there is no way to rent it out by paying cash.

In fact, there will never be a point where you can "book" the castle suite.

I am feeling SOOOOOOO much better now....

{{{excuses herself to screw her head back on}}}}

And ummmm Thanks anyway on the FP's

and when they come back with "the people on those boards don't know anything about anything" you'll know they are full of it. We know everything. We keep it all in Robo's giant book of knowledge and other stuff.

People crack me up. Maybe it was a luxury resort and she felt like a princess. But there is only one castle suite just like there is only one wdw. I read somewhere that lots of celebraties had called to see if they could book it and were willing to pay big money and Disney said no it is reserved for YOMD winners.

the only exception to that rule was a reporter that got to stay in the suite. And even then, it was part of a thing where the reporter won a contest to get to stay.

I soooooo dislike talking about anything DISNEY with a person who knows Nothing about Disney but will tell you they know Everything about Disney!!!!!
It just boggles the mind to hear the junk that comes out of their blowholes!
I am very sorry you had to spend a part of your life being aggravated by a know-it-all.....
And what a shame, her neice just cried and cried...poor baby:rotfl:
BTW, I would take Laney1 up on his suggestion. I would walk up to your neighbor's door, ring the bell and politely ask her if she can make a reservation for you or if she could get you the phone number to make the reservation....But don't let it slide! Every time you see her, ask her, hey, did you get that number for me? She'll know not to bug you next time with her stupid stories:sad2:

Tell her Laney1 is leaving in 5 days and needs the number because I want to stay too!! :rotfl2: You can tell you have about a 1000 friends on some board and they are dying for it!! Maybe they could give you some photos of where they stayed. That poor neighbor, you will be driving her crazy. Have a good time doing it!!

Don't feel too bad people ask us weird questions all the time because we have season passes and we go about every other month they think we know everything! I tell my friends before every trip on this board I learn something new and we always eat somewhere in WDW or DTD that is new. It has never been the same trip twice.

Yup, I never proclaim myself as an expert - I'm just a Disney Fanatic and I know what I know....I tell everyone, that's the beauty of returning to Disney over and over and over; you never get to do it all, and there's always something new to see when you return.
Man, Laney! Once every other month! I wanna be you! You're my Idol!!!!!:rotfl:

Aren't the turret rooms at the Grand Floridian called Castle Suites? Maybehe's just being a bit dumb then again perhaps he's just trying to wind you all up. Wish there was another one

This is my favorite part of the story. I'm a Disney rookie and even I know that just getting a room at the CR with MK view can be tough. We're supposed to believe that there's ONE room IN THE CASTLE and it's available in May? :teacher:

This is almost as funny as the man near the bus stop at the MK asking the CM what bus went to Universal Studios!

yeah, there was a cost an availability study that someone I know did for their masters in Economics... if WDW were to offer the Suite in the castle, to the public for booking, and were to charge $10,000 a night to stay there, paid in full at time of reservation... on the first day bookings are available, there would be a 9 year back log of reservations. At $100,000 a night it would be an 18 month back log.

the folks that win the stay are very lucky. you are 20x more likely to win over $250,000 in the lottery than stay in the castle suite.

The Polynesian Resort has a Princess Suite but that's certainly not the castle.:lmao:

Did they stay there perhaps?

I asked the woman (who is usually nice as pie...) which resort the castle room was in... She said in the Magic Kingdom... I said which Magic Kingdom resort??? She said NO in the castle like the one for Walt...

She must have started questioning herself because she called her son in law and asked about the princess suite again and he said that his spoiled wife wanted to stay in the castle so much that he pretended to try and get a room. The princess suite her niece stayed in was actually in a resort... not "THE CASTLE" She is taking me to lunch to eat humble pie.
hehehehe:rotfl:

I asked if they were going to the pirate and princess party as they are so very fond of princesses... and well the mighty :worship: relative travel agent dropped the ball as they didn't know anything about it and could I pull some strings and get them some tickets. I just had to get off the phone.:rotfl:

Wow! I have stayed in the Castle Suite, and I must say I'd rather have the $250,000. I could take 50 WDW trips with that money! LOL!
