Princess Storybook Dining- Which meal?

We would like to take our kids to the Princess Storybook Dining at Epcot but are unsure as to which meal... Breakfast or lunch? I love breakfast but my kids are not always in a breakfast mood. But I have heard the lunch food is a little on the different side. Has anyone had the lunch? How was it? Also is it all you can eat? I know the breakfast is. Thanks!!

We've had lunch there...we all found something that we liked to eat. The food was a little different, but lots of it was fresh and and you could choose, which enabled our fairly fussy DS (6) to eat. DD (4) was fine too. The kids food was more American, the adults more Norwegian. It was self-service cold table starter (salads, meats & cheese) and a set meal brought to tables for main - choices pasta, braised lamb, meat-balls, soup & sandwich, pan-seared trout, Kjottkaker. We had the pasta with chicken and vegetables , a huge plateful, and it was nice. Desserts were selection brought to the table for the family to enjoy (rice cream, chocolate mousse & Lingonberry tart)...which we did!!

HOWEVER the princesses and the princess experience for DD was AMAZING and to us worth the price, with the intimate moment each of DD's favourite princesses gave her!!!!!

I wish Akershus offered something besides a 'meat and potatoes' breakfast!!! My wife and daughter don't do sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, etc. They like pancakes and waffles, but these aren't available. So, as much as my DD loves the princesses, we're bypassing this restaurant. The lunch and dinner are even worse for picky eaters.

The lunch menu just didn't do anything for us so we opted for a late breakfast and it was great. DD is 16 and had a friend with her. They had fun posing with the princesses (you're never too old when you are at Disney!). And we all agreed that the food was very good. Our server brought us more of whatever we asked for. DD was in heaven with all the bacon she could eat.

The breakfast buffet wasn't as extensive as other's I've seen on the dis, like Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace. You get platters for the table of sausage, bacon, breakfast potatoes, and eggs. The buffet is more like a fruit, yogurt, muffins kind of deal. Other places seem to have waffles, pancakes, Disney originals like breakfast lasagna, etc. In other words, I wasn't impressed with the food, but if your kids are more into the princesses than eating im sure it won't be a problem.

Are all of the princesses at the Akershus for breakfast as well as lunch? The menu isn't sounding that great compared to 1900 Park Fare but if we can see all of the princesses at one shot that would be AWESOME!!
