I woke up at 5:30 in the morning after sleeping for a grand total of two hours. Didn't even need the alarm clock to wake me up, guess I was just too excited to sleep. My mom was already up also so we dressed and did last minute checks to make sure we had everything and the money got put on the card. Wait, what do you mean zero balance!! So made a quick call to our wish coordinator and my mind was put at ease. After we were sure we had everything, I was going to go wake sleeping beauty up but the spell lifted before I could give the wake up kiss. She ran to me shrieking "Mommy, I go to Mickey's House!" I told her yes today was the day. I got her dressed and she was so excited waiting for the car to arrive. Here are some pics of her waiting oh so patiently.
Yes, she made me wait outside untill the car arrived. After about 15 minutes of waiting, this is what we saw.
We grabbed all our stuff and we were outta of there. Well first Mya had a complete meltdown about actually getting in the limo. Two year olds, they're scared of practically everything. So after a minute of nice coaxing and a couple of shoves, we were on our way.
We arrived at the airport around 7:30, checked in, and recieved our boarding passes.
We actually got to our gate about a hour and a half early so what do you do when you have nothing else to do but wait? Take lots and lots of pics.
Around 9:30 we boarded and we were off to Floridai. Our flight had turbulence throughout but strangely I didn't get scared untill we landed. Mya had no problems flying thanks to my Mom who kept her occupied. The only thing she didn't like was being seatbuckled in the seat but she solved that problem soon after.
The flight was actually early so we landed around 12 pm. I still say the landing was the scariest ride I went on during the whole trip. The plane was bumpy and descended out of the air very fast and reckless. We walked past the security checkpoint and saw the greeter. We didn't get a pic with her but she was the nicest person and started off the week perfectly. We were led to our rental car and given the directions to the village.
The directions were very easy to follow and we soon found this.
We were greeted in the House of Hearts by another nice volunteer where Mya was given a Mickey Mouse and then we ate lunch before seeing our villa. We ate at Katies Kitchen which is sponsored by Boston Market and followed it up with some icecream. Everything was delicious and we were stuffed when we were done. Upon arriving back at the House of Hearts, we were whisked away to our villa in a golf cart. But wait, why is there a family already in our villa? Oh, we're really supposed to be in the one next to it. No, the toilet is broken. Well where are we staying? So back to the house of hearts to see what's going on. We were given two options. We could either wait for one of the new villas to open up which might take a while or we could take one of the old villas. What do we do? We take the old one , I mean by this time I'm like Just give us a villa please. Our villa turned out to be perfect as it was right next to the pool.
Inside we found a gift bag full of toys and candy and a stocked refrigerator.
Next up... shopping, dinner, and does Mya transform into a princess?
