Princess Gabby's First Trip to her "Happy Place" (new installment 10/1/10 pg 5)

I'm HERE!!! Thanks for posting on my trip report that you started yours! I was starting to think you forgot about us!! LOL.

I absolutely LOVE all the items you made for the trip. The shirts are AWESOME!!!!

Can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip!!

BTW................Your Gabby reminds me of my Gabby in the bathing suit picture! Mine poses like that too!

When I left off my, mom and I were going to Walmart. We called a cab and they came pretty quick, our driver was funny but def. had us hanging on for dear life he was in and out of traffic and took a short cut because the main street was really backed up.

After peeling my fings from the back his chair and going into Walmart we do our shopping..
Once we finished we went outside and got a cab pretty quickly..We started putting our stuff in the car and my mom can't find her wallet..So she is freaking out.
She runs back into the store to see if she can find it.. Meanwhile I am putting the stuff in the car and find her wallet. I tried to call her cell phone only to find out she had left the phone with me.. At this point I don't know if I should go in the store to find her, or just wait there. I didn't want to leave our bags but I did not want her to be in the store freaking out.. I decided to wait a few mins, when she still didn't come out, I had to go in and find her to let her know that I had it...

Sheesh.. We finally get back to the room and I call the guys to come downstairs and help us get the stuff up...

So we put everything away and get started on dinner...after dinner the kids go back to the pool and I set out their first surprise!
At each kids set there is a Welcome Letter to Disney,Disney Cup, a big pencil, a journal that I made for them, a disney candy thingy(what are those called..it slipped my mind) an autograph book, a yo yo,a Disney Gift Card and on Gabby's was also a hat(bought at walmart because I forgot hers at home)and there is an invite for Breakfast the next morning(my mom thought the boys would not be interested in going so I did not make them one). Oh and My mom wrote those names on the boys' because Gabby's had Princess on it...
When they came back in they saw them

So after that the kids got their showers and pjs on and I pulled out my notes and plans and my laptop just to make sure I had the next day down(this would be a pattern for me at night and it worked out well, because some things had to be changed daily)..
It was so funny my dad was like.."Ok so what is the plan?" and I looked my Mom and she said "Annette has her own plan, so I don't know what you are going to do"...it was soo funny!!
I was glad she said that because my Dad and I have totally different touring plans, he is die hard all day in the park..which the times we went we kinda had to be because we never stayed on property before. Also I knew that I had did my planning and had a different strategy. I was kinda worried because I knew the boys would want to do totally different stuff than Gabby so I was hoping that we would not be be "stuck" together all day or it would be a miserable trip!!

So when she said that, I gave them a print out of my days and said these are the days we are going to each park..you guys are more than welcomed to go with us..

We had MK planned for the first day but he wound up picking AK(I think)..

So it was cool..I sat out in the living room talking to my parents for a while, then I went to bed!

If I had been your Mama and thought I lost my wallet, I would have been freaking out too! Thank goodness you had it though.

I wanna go on a trip to Disney with you. You had all sorts of goodies for the kids. I could tell by the pictures that they enjoyed each and every item you bought.

I am anxious to hear how the park touring went. I know that it is stressful when you have others along and you don't how if they will want to do the things you want to do.

What a fun group! Loved your t-shirts - great designs! I wish I could get my boys to wear matching shirts but since they are ages 17-28, I don't believe it's going to happen

We had an 8:00 ressie for Crystal Palace so I set the clock for 6...I hit snooze a few times and then got up and got in the shower. After that I woke Gabby and Trevor up. Gabby had taken her shower the night before so I did a quick wash up on her and had her go sit in the living room with the boys so T could get dressed. My dad was already up making breakfast so actaully Gabby sat down and ate with them..
I grabbed something quick and made T some toast.
My parents and the boys left out and we were not far behind them..but we didn't see them on the bus stop..

Pretty soon we were pulling into Magic Kingdom!!

We hustled off the bus and to the ticket booth.
I snapped these really quick while we were walking

Trevor and I had to upgrade our GAD passes and we had to buy Gabby's. The man at the booth was as sweet as pie but was sooo old and slow!!I was so excited and he was taking so long!! But finally he finshed everything and we were able to go through the rope for early breakfast

All caught up! The shirts turned out so great! Too bad you didn't get any pictures of the shirts standing up, but that bus picture is really cute!

You can see how excited the kids are on the ME bus...it's written all over their faces!

Your room is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! You are so lucky!

Gabby looks so cute in her swimsuit! I love that she's posing. What a little doll she is!

I can not wait to hear more! Again, I'm SO excited you're writing a TR!!!!

I was tempted to make everyone put on their shirts again just so we can take a pic!!LOL Gabby is always posing!! She is a HAM!! I wish I would have started earlier because things are fuzzy already!!

I LOVE your bus picture!! Everyone looks so happy and excited in those cute matching shirts. It really has me wishing we got to ride it just to copy your pic!

What? How in the world did they nap when they were in Disney? Wait, I shouldn't even say that....you know what John does every chance he gets.

I don't blame you for saving the "rooms ready" text on your phone. It's not every day that you get a text from Walt Disney World.

Gabby looks adorable in her Minnie swimsuit and flip flops. Oh and the boys look cute as can be too.

I really don't know how they napped..I was sleepy but I had that nervous energy and could not just close my eyes..plus I felt like i could not sleep with everyone else sleep and the kids up..ya know? I am glad you get it..Trevor looked at me crazy when I told him I still have it

It is funny now but she was running all around looking for it and the meters just a running!! The kids were really appreciative of everything!
The park touring went great! My group(my t and g) went and did our thing and my parents and the boys did theirs and we would meet at the room at night and the kids would have a chance to play together and swim..so it worked out perfectly!We did wind up going to the parks with them on our last day and had it been like that the whole time, it would have not worked out!The kids wanted to do different things!

Hi!! Welcome to my report!! I was VERY surprised my husband agreed to wear matching shirts..he is so not that type of guy

by now it is just about 8 so we hustled down Main street.. Stopped to take a quick pic

and snapped this so you could see how empty the park was

We got on the porch for CP and it was packed!! We gave our name and the hostess was so tickled about our shirts and was pointing it out to everyone.

While we were on this porch, I snapped this picture with my phone so that I could send it to my sister and post it on Twitter and Facebook.

It was soooo hot on that porch!! We were not sitting for long when they called us in, there were people that had been sitting there way longer than us and they kinda gave us the eye so I was trying to rush Gabby in. We were seated on the left RIGHT by the window too!! I was scared someone was gonna take us out!!LOL Trevor thinks it was because of the shirts…I don’t think so though..lol
So we went to get our food because the server said we had time before the first person came over..
We got our plates and as soon as we sat down, Tigger came by

Trevor got a picture with him because he loves Tigger.

I snapped this pic of my waffles with my cell phone to send to my sister, twitter and facebook. Pretty much all the pics with the cell phone were to send to those 3 places. Except when my camera stopped working..but I will get to that.

After Tigger left, Pooh snuck up on Trevor.

We had a little break and then Pigglet came( I was telling Trevor to cover the bacon on his plate)

After that was Eyore.. Trevor loved how he wrote his name.

I'm so glad that you got to see an almost empty Magic Kingdom. In all of our 15 trips, I have yet to see that. Even though we aren't breakfast eaters, we may just have to book an early ADR simply to see an empty park.

Too bad you were given the evil eye by other guests. I've gotten that look a bunch of times when we had Fastpasses and others did not.

Gabby's smile just brightened my day! I needed that. You could tell that she loved the character meal. Your comment that Trevor needed to hide his bacon had me rolling.

That was the only time we were there that early...lol BUT even though it was hot as the dickens and it was the summer..the parks were crowded..but not so crowded that it was miserable..
We are not really big breakfast easters.. in fact that was my first plate and my second plate was about the same, but I kept hearing on here that it was a great thing to do and I was trying to make Gabby's first trip the best so I decided to do it.

We went up for seconds and then they had the parade. It took a little bit of coaxing but we got Gabby to get up and participate!!

We finished about 9:30 and hit the park. The park had just opened so it was still pretty empty

We walked through the castle and right to Dumbo..the line was not that long and Gabby and I got in line. He First Disney ride and she was so excited!!!

After that we went straight to the Teacups. I snapped this picture with my cell phone to Tweet and Facebook the wait times, even in July because people were telling me that I would have such long waits and all that

Yay! Gabby's first ride at Disney was on Dumbo! There's no better ride I can think of. You can tell she is having a magical time just by looking at her smile.

I can't believe that the teacups had a zero wait time. Lucky you!

When we got off we saw that Alice was lining up so we went to get into her line.
Alice was so tickled(as were ALL the Characters) that their picture was in the book.. Alice asked if the White Rabbit could sign on her page since he did not have one(oppps!!LOL)

After Alice, we went to stand at Toon Town to wait for that to open..yes we did all that and ToonTown still was not open. I was so excited!!Trevor did not yet understand what the big happy was for but he sure found out the next day when he saw how long the line was!!!

While I was waiting, I chatted with this nice gentleman.(remember him for later) I asked him if he knew exactly where Mickey’s house and the Tent where the Fairies would be was. I wanted to know which way to walk. He said he was wondering the same thing and went to ask the person at the rope and she told him that she would make a big announcement.

I snapped a few pics while we waited.

The crowd waiting was very small..maybe 20 people?? We didn’t have to wait long and soon, we were walking towards Mickey’s House. Gabby wanted to stop and go through Minnie’s house and I promised her as soon as we did Mickey and then the Fairies we could.

So we got Mickey’s house and walked around and around and around some more in the queue…

we got to the front and there was a rope..we thought we were the first people!! When someone came out and let us go in, we saw that we only had like 3 groups ahead of us.

When it was our turn Minnie got so excited about our shirts and their picture in he book she was pointing it out to everyone..she even came and gave me a hug.
