Princess Fantasy Faire or Flop?

My Dds loved it!

But, we didn't wait in any line to meet the Princesses. If we had wanted to see one, we would have done that first (get in line while everyone else is watching the show), then done the show.

Or, we would have gone back to DCA. I believe you can still meet Princesses in there.

If you work it right, you can avoid the lines.

My dd loved it, although we had a long wait to meet the princesses, my advice, skip the princess line and do the crowns, the show and the princess storytelling. We go to Ariel's Grotto to meet the princesses and have a sit down lunch.....

I second this advice!

This is rotten news. The best interactions that we have had with the princesses has been in front of the castle. I am so sad. My dd will be so disapointed, especially if there is a long line to wait in. It sounds like DL is just trying to get more money from us when the girls see the face painting and the hair braiding and such.

My DD and I did this in Dec, for us it was fun. Got in the main line about 20 minutes before it opened up, were the 4th family in line to see the princesses (Jasmine, Belle (DD favorite) and Cinderella) she got about 3-4 minutes with each princess, I think that's why the line moves so slow. Didn't do the hair/face painting, but did the crown and coloring and the dancing with ladies/lords and princesses, our also did a maypole (got Belle again!).

My suggestion if you want to meet the princesses get into the line before the whole thing opens up, will go much quicker.

We do miss the storytime though a lot, it was something we did every trip. Not sure if we will do the Faire again, depends on the lines, and we usually do lunch at the Grotto.

where are there princesses in DCA? I have never seen them other than in the Grotto for the character meal?

I have to add my vote to the flop side! I like to coloring and the stories. I think it is a better location for the stories as there much more room and less "fight" to get a spot.

That being said,I do not like the line for the princesses. It is far too long. I also do not like the fact that you can never be sure who will be in the room.

DD and I loved meeting the princesses out in front of the castle. It was nice to get in a line and know who you were going to see. I have taken DD over to Ariel's Grotto for dinner but since we go so often I am not willing to pay that much to eat so-so food.
