Princess Dresses

We recently got off the Wonder, but while onboard, I saw (in the shop on the ship) how beautiful the little girls princess dresses were. If I shop the Disney shop online, will I be getting the similar quality dresses? Does anyone know how to differentiate the higher quality dresses vs the cheaper Target/Walmart/ToysRUs ones?

In my experience, the dresses from the Disney Store are the same quality as those in the parks/on the ship (just less expensive). They aren't the exact same as those on the ship, but the quality is the same!

I've purchased three princess dresses from the online Disney Store and all of them have been fantastic quality. We have had the one dress for 15 months, it has seen daily hard use from a 3 now 4 year old, and it is still in great shape! The other two we have only had for about six months, but we haven't had any issues with them yet either. In comparison, my oldest daughter received a Disney princess dress from Walmart as a birthday gift from a friend. Within a week, the hem was falling and I had to fix the cheap velcro on the back. The dresses at the Disney Store may not be the same designs you saw on the ship, but they should definitely be the same quality!

I order all my daughter's dresses online from the Disney store and the quality is always good/excellent. They usually have a twice a year sale (Jan & June, I think) and the $44.99 dresses are marked down to $29.99. They go VERY fast though so you have to order right away.
