Princess Dress

Hi - all, I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place for this thread, or if it's more of Trades and Wishes thread. Although, I'm not actually trying to make a trade, I just want some info about this item.

Ok, so my 7-year-old (with whom I share a character) has seen girls in VMK wearing the princess dresses. You can see where this is going... lol So, needless to say, said 7-year-old is desperate for her own princess dress. Color doesn't matter. Any one will do.

So, my question is this -- are these extremely rare items? What is a fair trade for one? We'll be going to WDW in September and will have some in-park quest items -- would any of those be valuable enough to trade for a dress? Sorry, for all the newbie questions - but I know I can count on help from this awesome board. Thanks!

well, i would also post this on the trades board, but i think it belongs more here since you need these questions answered. yes princess costumes are rare. the pink costume (which i have) is least rare. if you go up to a person with a gold or blue dress, they will almost always expect somehting very rare (like magic or a stitch hat) in exchange for their dress. a girl offered me 3 dresses (all different colors) for magic. unfortunatley, i don't have any tradeable magic. if i did, i'd give you a free dress. to get my princess dress i traded:
a diver helmet
a herbie couch
lots of narnia
everest furniture
some cheap costumes (like cheer (at least i think it was)

i've never done an in-park quest, and i don't think many others have either. therefore, i believe that the rewards from these quests would be a fair trade. tell me what happens, and i wish you luck!

Thanks, Maleficent2 (and thanks for your advice, Dancegrl!) -- a couple of folks have been very kind and offered us one also. I really appreciate this so much, she will be so pleased and surprised. We only need one - so I guess we'll just take whoever can meet up with us in the game first. Thanks so much, again. If anyone can meet up soon and wants to pm me, that would be great.

Just to let everybody know, (not to be impatient or anything!) -- our in-game name is PrincessOp and our character is hanging out in VMK central right now (South instance) -- she's wearing a pirate hat and orange tank top. Whoever donates the dress to us, I hope you will let us trade you for something cool. Thanks!

If any of the extras want to trade, I've started a character for my 7 yr old, but haven't told her. I wasn't going to let her play until after we go to Dis in Jan, letting her create her character "in park". Now she keeps wanting to play our characters and with all these quests and my own troubles of not being able to get anything rare/retired b/c I don't have anything tradeable, I figured I'd play for her so she'd have some rare when she got to playing. Maybe I'm going soft, but I think I'm just going to give her character over to her sometime this week (she was grounded from TV and comp two days).

Anyway, she'll have strict rules of no trading unless I say it's ok, and I'll explain rare stuff so it doesn't disappear. But regarding the dress...I just bought a diver helmet at 2000 credits I think (yikes!) if someone would be interested or I could trade the pirate quest hat if that would be a good value, especially nice for crown and dress I'd think if PrincessOp already has hers. Her name, if it's approved, is Scooterbdooter. I have credits with my characters but since only playing a month nothing but the recent quests for "rare" and I don't want to give up all of it, but would one of the pirate hats.

Sorry if this is infringing on the op, I know she will get her dress first. I like yellow best, she would probably like blue, but anything is better than nothing.
