Can anyone tell me how much the Princess dresses are at WDW or at World of Disney?

My little girl wants one for our CRT Breakfast, and we're trying to decide between buying it there or ordering one of the Disney Prestige ones over the Internet.

Thanks in advance!
Wade

Seems like they were around $50 just for the dress part at World of Disney and at the resorts.

Just bought one in November. $50.00. Dress only. Crown maybe $10-$15. This was a lot of money for a dress up costume, but I have to admit they are made much better than any of the "dress up" ones you can buy at Target. I even washed mine in the washer on gentle when we got home and it was fine.

Was at Disney Store in mall today and they had MANY Princess dresses that were marked day to $19.99 plus and additional 33% off. Have you tried Walmart? Ours sells them year round now ($25-ish?), not just for Halloween.

I called WDW mail order to inquire about princess dresses and was informed that new dresses were coming out and would be approx. $60. However she did not know what was changing on the dresses. I still have not decided what to do for my DD (9). I need both Cindy dress for CRT and Sleeping Beauty for Princess Tea. I don't mind paying the $ but I want a quality dress that looks like it costs what I will pay. I hate paying alot of money for something to look "cheap". The Prestige Disney costumes do look good, at least in the pictures. I would like to see pics of the WDW dresses.

The dresses from WDW are beautiful and very good quality. My DD has Snow White (see my sig picture below), Cinderella, and Jasmine. They are all extremely well made and I love them. In fact, I noticed that the material on the bodice of the Cinderella dress was the same as on the dress of the "real" Cinderella, which I thought was impressive.

We just bought Ariel's wedding gown in October at the WOD and it was $60, and Minnie was $50 last year, but VERY well made. We also have all, yes all, of the princesses dresses from the Disney Store and there is no comparison in the quality. WDW are much better made. princess:

We just went in December. My 4YO got Sleeping Beaty and my 9YO got Cinderella. I bought the dresses ($55 each) and the crowns (I think were $15 each). Since Grandma was with she ended up buying them the matching shoes ($18 per pair) and a set with a wand, gloves and purse ($24 for each kid). It was a lot of money to spend, but they are extremely well made. Also, it is one of the few places I can still find dress up clothes for 9YO DD and she is even small for her age. I just wonder when it was decided that 9YO don't like to play dress up anymore?

We bought our dd a Tinkerbell dress and it was about $50. All the extras were what put the bill at $120 (Shoes, wig, wand crown). I couldn't resist, it was so cute! The dress was better made than anything you could get at a local store. She wore the dress on her last day from the time she woke up in the morning until we got home to PA. On the plane and the airport, you would have thought she was royalty! She wears the dress all the time to play dress up, so I was glad she got use out of it. I still laugh thinking about her on the plane wig and all!

I purchased a Prestige one through eBay (snow white) and it is gorgeous and well-made--I think I spent about $45. Really, really nice. Like you would expect Snow White to look IRL.

Then, when I started agonizing over letting her wear this expensive thing to a character meal, a few DIS members turned me on to the Walmart Disney Princess costumes. I went the other day and scored a Cinderella and a Snow White, each $17.88. They also offer another version at Walmart which was supposed to be an upgrade, for $25, called the deluxe, but here's a newsflash: I compared the $17 Cinderella dress to the $25 one side by side. Guess which one had a few ripped seams and looked like it was ready for the garbage? Surprisingly, the more expensive "deluxe" version that had these cheap looking sequins on the bodice (Cinderella)--I was not impressed and was glad I didn't waste the extra $8.

The $17 versions from Walmart have the crinoline-like underskirts and netting overlay, but at least for the 3yo and up size, the skirt looks a little shorter than ballgown (ankle) which I prefer b/c it won't cause tripping. Also, I compared the Prestige version of Snow White with the Walmart one and...I have to say, there are some differences but probably NOT enough to justify the price difference of over $25. Especially when I think about what my DD2 is going to do to this costume over time... :sad2:

Now that I have it, I might save the Prestige one anyway since it's a larger size and she could wear it next year for Halloween. But before investing $50+, you might check out Walmart and consider these. They do not scream "I am nylon and came out of a cardboard princess dress up trunk."

Good luck!
