What could be better than dining with Ariel and her princess friends for breakfast or lunch at Ariel’s Grotto at Disney California Adventure park during Ariel’s Disney Princess Celebration? How about a royal dinner?

Yes, beginning June 15, 2012, guests may join Ariel and her princess friends for breakfast, lunch or dinner for an enchanting Character Dining experience filled with music, laughter, delicious food and the opportunity to meet Disney Princesses. Reservations for dinner at Ariel’s Disney Princess Celebration are now open today, Apr. 15. Call the Disney Dine Line (714-781-DINE) or emailing dining your reservation requests to dine@disneyland.com.

“World of Color” dining packages will no longer be offered at Ariel’s Grotto after June 14, 2012, but guests may still enjoy “World of Color” package options at other park locations to receive a ticket for access to the “World of Color” Viewing Area.

Not too shocking when you consider increasing DCA crowds and the lack of Princess Meals and Character Dinners.

Sucks I was Looking forward to woc dinner there in oct *** WCT dinner is too expensive for my sister oh well just do the fastpass only.

But I do agree more character dining experiences needed at DCA maybe we might do the princess dinner instead

While the WoC dinner package was a great option for many people, it's popularity has been dropping over time. It was on its way out one way or another.

Some far flung speculation is other areas will start offering WoC packages.

We made our dinner reservations for June 15th! It's my DH's birthday and he wants tri-tip from Ariel's Grotto. I'd like to buy the dining vouchers ahead of time because we will save. So, what happens if the park fills to capacity and they won't let us in?

Also, they are not taking dining reservations for Carnation Cafe for June, and are stating that it's not opening until July. (Although the CM told me I should check back in case anything changes because she said things are always changing.) I thought I read somewhere here that it would be opening June 2nd.

If the park is at capacity where they won't let anyone in, the most extreme level of capacity, you are out of luck. You should go into DCA in the morning, and stay or at least get your hand stamped and return later. Then if it's at the lower capacity level where they aren't selling tickets to enter, you will be able to get in.

Carnation Cafe is still on some schedules to finish it's rehab on the 1st. There may be some question if it will be done then.

That's what I'm wondering..maybe a new dining choice that isn't open yet?? say...SUPER expensive package at Carthay for assigned rail sponts?? hmm..I'd do that actually. I hope they still offer the WCT WOC dinner as really enjoyed that.

I am excited to see the Princess character meal offered at dinner again. I wonder if they will revamp the dinner menu, although I do not want to see the tri-tip taken off!! We shall see what happens!

This is a bit of a bummer. AG was my fav place for the WOC dinners. I liked their food choices. Oh well prob won't do it again anyway but still a bummer.

they needed to do something. There were just way too many people trying to dine with princesses. DL desperately needs to add some character meals. They are so popular.

That is correct. WoC packages at Ariel's Grotto can be booked upto the 13th, DCA is closed on the 14th. The Princess dinners will start on the 15th.
