 Do the princesses attend all night during dinner?? I read a guidebook that said they are only there for an hour so you had to make sure that you booked your dinner when they are there. How are we supposed to know when they are there 90 days in advance? Do you think the guidebooks is wrong about this one and that the princesses attend throughout the entire dinner booking or should I hold back on my ressies. the only reason we're going there is for the princesses! Boy we'd be disappointed to book and find out we didn't book "the right time" for the princesses to be there. My understanding was that they were there ALL DAY for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Anyone have experience with this?

We dine here at least two out of every three trips, and we've never not seen the princesses regardless of time? :confused3

I don't know where you got that guidebook but I would take it back and get a refund! The princesses will be there all night.

They have seatings. The princesses make their rounds once per seating. Don't worry. You'll see lots of taffeta. :)princess:

We went there 4 yrs ago for dd 6th birthday!!!! First off it said it was a buffet. When we got there and were noticing no buffet the waiter explained that they changed it. So the best he could do was give the kids what they wanted off the adult menu....the food was expensive and no where near enough. The princess were there for a total of 10 minutes went around the rest and then left so maybe a total of 1 hr. The princesses were nice and beautiful but I would never do it again. Did Chef Mickey's the next yr and Rainforest Cafe the next 2 years. Looking for something else this year.

We were there 2 weeks ago and had a great experience. It was at lunch time, but when I was making the reservation I was led to believe that there was little difference by time of day (except the price of course) this was booked for DD and her friends who had all attended the same competition that week.

When the girls entered the restaurant, they had time with a princess (in our case, Belle) and a photo taken (this is brought to your table before you leave). The princesses take turns going to each table in the restaurant and pose with each child or adult who wants a picture (here, you will need your own camera)

I can honestly say that if there were any more princesses, nobody would have had time to eat. :rotfl2:

We just looooved it.

Is the picture with Belle optional for purchase? I know at CRT it is part of the package but since Akershus is a 1 TS credit I would imagine the photo is an option. Can someone elaborate please. We are eating here for the first time in May. Thanks.

We paid oop, and it was included in the basic price, as was the frame (too cute). They also gave us a slip with all of our photopass codes on it, so we could upload all of the pictures they took.

If there is a snag there because of DDP, I'm sure you can just take the photopass codes with you. But CRT is more expensive oop, so I think that would explain why it is 2TS.

We loved it! I tried something I still can't pronounce and it was good! You will loooove the desserts.

All parties dining at Akershus receive their photo package included in the meal charge, whether that charge is paid oop or with ddp credits.

Larger parties (6 or more) will actually receive 2 photo sets, to allow for families travelling together or whatnot.

I'm confused now. So paying the 1 TS credit per person DOES or DOES NOT come with the photo pack?

Does.

Your party will receive one photo package (an 8x10 and 4 smaller prints of the same image) in a souvenir folder.
If your party is larger than 6, they will bring the party two packages so that each person has a chance to keep a photo.

Hmmmm. We are a party of 6 for May. But that's because we have a 2 yo. Since the seating is set for 6, but we really are only 5 paying customers, do we still get 2 photo packages or 1? This will be our first time visiting the Storybook meal. We went to 1900 last year and no one liked the food. Cindi was great, but the food was lacking.

We had a party of 10. We didn't realize that there was a set amount of photos, because we got 1 for each girl there (maybe it's 3 for 10? or for 9 really since we had a toddler there too)

I enjoyed the food, as did everybody else that day -- way too much! It was nice to be able to try Norwegian food, although not everybody ordered that type of meal. BTW, the toddler was able to eat from the appetizer buffet and get their own drink -- but we didn't ask about them getting their own meal. The kids girls decided to get pizza for their meal.

Our 2 yo GD is latose intolerant and can't have any dairy. I have read that most places will accommodate her. I'm assuming that they will feed her something she is allowed to eat. Sharing from us does not work for her. It seems that everything has milk, butter, or cheese in it at WDW. Since she's not on the dining plan we hope it won't be a problem. I guess I'll call. The Dining CM gave us a special number to call prior to our trip.

They will bend over backward to accomodate you. Several times last trip the chef came out to our table to discuss exactly what could and could not be consumed. Disney is great about this...makes me very grateful and also keeps me coming back for more...lol. This may not be magical to some, but to me it is.

Thanks. We were concerned since she's not a paying guest since she's 2. We do plan to pay for all of her meals at TS locations, but didn't know if we would have to pay for her at buffets since she may not be able to eat the standard fare.

I have both Passorters and the Unoffical Guide...2009 editions, and one of them (I'd have to get off my butt and look to remember which one for sure) states that only lunch and breakfast has princesses, and dinner doesn't. Which I know is not true, so not sure why they have that in there. Maybe it used to be that way, and they haven't updated?

I beleive I have read on all ears (or a similar site with menus) that a photopackage is give for every 4 people. I know some people who went and their 2 YO was the 5th person, but they got 2 sets of pictures.

I have a bit of an offtopic question....
I have heard they take several pictures of you with the princess, and then pick the best one they like to give you. When you put the code into the photopass site, does it have the other pictures as well? Or only that one?
