Hi,

I have ADRs for Akershus Princess Storybook Dining and The Gala Feast with Cinderella at the GF. However, I don't have any little girls, I have two little boys.

The reason I made the ressies is because I have a 4 year old DS who is in love with Cinderella. He also has a princess fascination and he loved Disney Princess Wishes on Ice when his GM took him a few months ago.

Our littlest DS will be 1 and 1/2 when we're there. We wanted to do character dining with the boys, but the little one might be afraid of the non face characters and might be more comfortable with princesses. He's also a terrible flirt with pretty girls.

The thing is, will people stare or whatever since we don't have little girls? Are the dinners too girly? Would a princess loving boy be just as happy? The other thing is, do they sell prince costumes in MK or DTD? I figured if all the little girls are dressed up in their pretty dresses DS(4) will want to be dressed as a prince. I suppose he could always wear his Ren Faire costume and we could dig up a crown...

My boys still ask to go to the Princess meals --- although I think the oldest now has different reasons for attending (if you catch my drift). They've been going to Princess meals since they were toddlers and love them. The Princesses give them lots of attention ... and they love it! This year will be the first time they have a sister to share the experience with.

Enjoy yourself -- I know your boys will!!!

We never tried Akershus before it switched to all Princesses all the time :headache:

My big boys--DH & DS18 & I will be trying it in '08.
The surface attraction for them is the castle-like atmosphere, the darling Princesses are just simply a wonderful plus! :rotfl:

Really, everyone knows little boys love castles!
If anyone laughs I hope a troll carries the offender off!

I'm taking my DS's (5 & 18 months) their too! It'll be our first time in Disney, we are doing Chef Mickey's and the Donald Duck one (forgot the name)... I picked the Princess one more for ME princess: I love the princesses! I'm sure the boys will still have fun.

I was wondering how my little guy will be with the costumed characters too. He's seen Chuck E Cheese and Elmo in costume and wasn't too interested. Hopefully it won't scare him.

You shouldn't feel funny with taking them to the Princess meal. They are young enough and will have fun. I think dressing them up as a prince would be really cute. I never had a chance to go to a Princess meal and I don't think I can do it now with my boys being 10. So you should do it while they are young. I'm sure the princesses will make a fuss over the boys.

I just took my 3 boys 13,9 &6 to akershus and they didn't mind at all or get odd looks. Of course I have an 11 yr old dd but this meal was for me and the boys got alot of attention from the princesses!
