Taking DD and her BFF to disney.
Both are in high school but are Princess Crazy (especially Belle because Beauty and the Beast is this years musical they are in).

They want to do a Princess Meal during Christmas Break.

I have ADR for CRT and Akershus for breakfast.

Which do you think they will enjoy more.

Both get into the Disney Spirit (sing the Pirate Song on the boat, bouch with Tigger)

Thanks

Hard to say. If they are Belle crazy, they will probably love getting their formal picture taken with her in her big yellow dress at Akershus. At CRT, they will see her, but she will be roaming the tables in her blue dress. As for me, there is just something special about eating in the castle though. That would be my personal choice.

Is this a surprise? I have 3 DD who are all HS age and they requested Akershus...so that's where I am going :). I was shocked they wanted to do it!

It's a tough decision. You can't get much more Princessier than eating in the Castle but for some reason I favor Akershus.

If it's not a surprise, I'd just ask the girls!

- Couple thoughts:
Are they at all picky? My very picky niece ate at Akershus on her 16th birthday and loved it. I think this is the better choice (breakfast wise) for picky eaters as there is more variety with the cold buffet and the food definitely gets better reviews than CRT.

As PP said, do they have a big preference Cinderella vs. Belle? since those are the ones you generally get your package picture with.

Also, as PP said, eating in the castle is cool. So, if atmosphere is more important than food quality, go with the castle.

I much prefer CRT over Ankershus. At 35, I got to eat in the castle for the first time and my DH and I absolutely loved it.

If they must see Belle in her yellow dress, you can go to the Princess M&G to see her there.

I would think Akershus. DH and I went to CRT on our honeymoon and it was a fun experience, but we agree it's not something we would do again. It was very crowded inside, and I prefer a selection from a full buffet. We're taking DD to Akershus in December!

I'd ask them. I personally would rather eat in the castle and I LOVE Belle! But I would also rather meet the blue dress Belle then the yellow dress Belle. So yeah, I'd ask the girls. If it's a surprise then I think they'd be happy with either but really, what girl (high school or otherwise) DOESN"T want to eat in the castle? I'm 25 and I would LOVE that!

I'd ask them what's more important, classic yellow dress Belle or meet her elsewhere and have the castle experience. To me, nothing is more magical and perfectly princessy than the castle. And, there are often times special occasions to witness, engagements, etc. which may be cool at their age. That said, we're trying Akershus for the first time this coming trip, but not giving up CRT to do it, hitting both.

So you are saying that my best bet is to ask two teenage girls to come to a decision about which is better - Have you met a teenager girl?
(This is my third and final DD so I have finally learned by now - I think)

My guess is I could ask each week and get a different answer.

So I will use the arbitrary dad rule to decide - Do either of them have Mickey Mouse Shaped Waffles?

We did both and liked Akershus a lot better. The food was good and it was a lot cheaper too. It was nice to see the castle, but I wouldn't got back to CRT. I'll definitely go back to Akershus. You get really nice photo packages from both too, Akershsus with Belle and CRT with Cinderella. Mary Poppins was also at Akershus.

We are going on a big family vacation in December~ we've been to WDW together many times. My nieces are 18 and 15... they both prefer the castle. Both asked to eat in the castle again.... the 18 year old requested breakfast if possible over lunch (she is serious about her food! LOL) There is just something magical about eating in THE castle and all 3 girls going on the trip (the 2 nieces plus my 12 yr old DD) require eating in the castle. If they want to see Belle in the yellow ball gown as opposed to the blue and white peasant outfit, visit the princesses in MK..... that satisfied my DD very well. Either will be fine, and I agree with above posters, if this is not a surprise~ ask her. But for our girls, nothing beats eating in THE castle.princess:

In lieu of them making the choice, I say choose Castle. I mean, let's be honest, it's not about the food, is it, it's about the Disney magic, and the Castle is the most princessy and most magical, IMO. princess:
