We are going to Disney in June and I want to try and get 1 Princess Character dining experience for my daughter. I don't want to do CRT because that takes up 2 of my credits, and I am already planning on Mickeys BBQ which also takes 2. So I am debating 1900 Park Fare or the StoryBook one in Epcot.

Sugesstions? My daughter will be 4.

If the main goal is meeting princesses, then it has to be Akershus in Epcot. princess:

Breakfast characters at 1900 Park Faire include Pooh, Tigger, Alice, the Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins... no princesses as such.

That being said, I think the variety and quality of breakfast food available at 1900 Park Faire far outshines that avilable at breakfast at Akershus (where we love lunch/dinner but have not been greatly impressed by breakfast). As long as the basics - eggs, sausage/bacon, breads, fruit - are sufficient for your family, then you'll be fine at Akershus but if you are seeking wider variety then you may wish to think about 1900 PF.

Another thing to maybe think about is that the photo package is included with the cost of the meal at Akershus, if that is something that appeals/matters to you.

I would think about who your DD would like to meet and base your decision on that. Akershus will have 5 princesses at each meal (not just breakfast) - my girls like to meet different princesses (one loves Sleeping Beauty) so we like Akershus for all the different ones we'll meet. (We've met Snow White, Belle, Ariel, Mulan, Jasmine, Sleeping Beauty and Mary Poppins).

At 1900 Park Fare the characters are different for breakfast vs dinner. Breakfast has Mary Poppins, Alice, and Pooh. Dinner has the cast of Cinderella - with Prince Charming and the step sisters (who are quite funny).

Does your DD love Cinderella? If so - I'd do 1900. If she likes other princesses, I'd do Akershus

different. We haven't done 1900 Park Fare because I don't think my daughter would appreciate the step mother and step sisters. I think I would. She wants to see princesses and princesses.

I've noticed that her video viewing habits have started shifting so the trip after this one may work.

I've been told at the storybook, you get a picture with the princess as well.
That's like a added bonus to me. I think its 1 5x7 photo.

yes, there is a picture package at Akershus - included in the price. You get an 8x10 and four 4x6's with the "greeting" princess. (It is often Belle at Akershus)

Thanks for correcting me I wasn't real sure on the package, or which princess it was. My DD is really looking forward to it.

We have eaten at both places, and CRT. My daughter, who loves princesses, liked Storybook and CRT more than 1900. It was nice to be surrounded by princesses, have professional pictures, and still be in the park. princess:

We did both in January...tons of info and pics there.

The Princess Breakfast is a huge hit with our nieces, the food is great and the Princesses are fantastic

1900 PF was fun character wise but the food was terrible

The kids had a much better time at the Princess Breakfast

I did both 1900 Park Fare (for dinner) and Askerhaus (for breakfast) with my niece, who was four, last fall. We really liked both of them (in fact we did CRT too and we liked 1900 Park Fare better).

At 1900 Park Fare it was Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Druscilla and Anastasia. I thought they did a great job of being nice to the little ones. My niece thought it was great that Anastasia told her that her dress (she dressed in her Cinderella costume) looked better on her than it did on Cinderella.

At the princess breakfast we had Belle (free picture), Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Snow White, Jasmine and Mulan. Again, character interaction was great and my niece loved seeing all the princesses in one spot.

If you just want to get a lot of princesses in at one meal I would do Askerhaus. If your daughter loves Cinderella (like my niece does) I would do 1900 Park Fare.

Thanks for the input everyone! Right now my daughters fave princess is Ariel so I'll do the Storybook one for a lunch and hope we get to see Ariel there. She also likes Belle. The picture is a great deal! Maybe if I am not able to fit in one of my other ADR I want when I call, we'll do 1900 as well :thumbsup2
