I am so confused with the Princess Meals! Which is the best? The castle seem like it would be cool but is it worth the 2 TS cr? Then there is 1900 Park Fare and The Princess Story Book in Norway. Help they all look about the same just a little different food.

Any info you have good or bad on any would be welcomed.

TIA

1900 Park Fare is great!
We've never done the princess meal in Norway, but we've got an ADR for that this August.

Last year, we had dinner at CRT.
The view in there is fantastic.
IMO, I think everyone should have at least one meal in the castle.

I'm sorry...I guess I'm not much help, am I?
You'll just have to go to WDW enough times to try out all the princess meals.

No, IMO, CRT is not worth two table service credits, but it is a must to do at least once. I ate there when I was younger and will be paying OOP during an upcoming trip, when we are on the dining plan, to have breakfast there. I'd like my daughter to experience it at least once while it's still magical. We selected breakfast because it is cheaper. We love 1900 Park Fare for dinner because the food is excellent and totally satisfies my daughters princess fix. The GF is close to the MK so we do a nice dinner and then easily head back to the park for the rest of the evening. I haven't tried the Princess Storybook meals yet but only because we aren't huge fans of the menu outside of breakfast and I would prefer not to do an Epcot breakfast with the way we tour the park.

Our favorite was Princess Storybook Breakfast. We've never done CRT breakfast, and I won't now since they raised the price; same with dinner, they limited the menu too much. Just my preference, there's nothing wrong with the meal, just not for us. We tried 1900 Park Fare once and didn't like it at all. The characters were great, but the food wasn't for us.

I have eaten at all 3 (CRT before the change). One big difference is the characters who are present. If you want to definitely see Cindy, then CRT or1900 Park Fare is a must. Cindy is not guaranteed at PSB, but you get to see a lot of different princesses, which at CRT and 1900 the only princess is Cindy. But, wherever you chooose you will not be dissappointed!

I've done all three a few times.

I've only done CRT before the changes. IMHO, everyone should do it once (only breakfast or lunch though as the princesses circulate; dinner doesn't have characters cirulating) but its only worth doing only ONCE, IMHO.

1900 Park Fare dinner is nice if you don't mind only seeing Cinderella and her friends and no other princesses.

Princess Storybook is probably our favorite now but we prefer breakfast rather than lunch or dinner due to the food selection. We've done lunch a couple of times just to see Ariel but my family wasn't crazy about the food (I didn't mind it but they didn't like it) so we usually do the breakfast instead.

The breakfast usually has Belle in her yellow gown (at the entrance only) and lunch and dinner usually has Ariel (at the entrance only).

Hope this helps.

We did Storybook in Epcot Last Year at dinner. Princesses were Ariel at the door, and Cinderella, Belle in her Blue dress, Alice in Wonderland, and Sleeping Beauty. The food was okay, but if I were to do it again, I believe that I would go breakfast. Doing CRT this year. I have never eaten in the castle and just feel like I HAVE to do it. We'll see!

Were doing Akershus lunch in july for the princesses, the CRT doesnt impress me both for the food and price, but we got to eat in plenty of castles stationed in europe so its not such a novelty for us to eat there.

No, this is not true about CRT. Cinderella is not the only princess there during breakfast and lunch. there are 4 or 5 circulating. last time, we had jasmine, belle, snow white, and fairy godmother.

We did the Princess Breakfast Oct 2006 and it was wonderful. We had the first seating, 8:30 am, and the food was wonderful and the Princesses were fantastic. Totally worth the money IMO.

We paid OOP for this meal, DH and I could not justify paying the cost of the castle breakfast when we knew the girls would not eat that much.

CRT is so expensive because you get to eat in the castle (which is cool!), and a picture package is included in the price; it's preplated.

1900 Park Fare is a Cinderella (and friends) meal for dinner; breakfast there is with Mary Poppins and Alice. All meals at 1900 Park Fare are buffet, but will be preplated when it's at the GF Cafe during the refurb.

The PSB meals at Akershus are a preplated "American Style" breakfast (and I think a few buffet items like bread and fruit?), and the lunch and dinner are a cold buffet and individual ordered entrees -- Norwegian food which some people love  and some people...uh...don't :crazy2:  It actually sounds kind of interesting and different, and I'm almost sorry I scheduled the breakfast instead of the lunch or dinner. Ah well, maybe next time. They take pics at the PSB meals, but they aren't included in the cost of the meal. That's one of the factors that made us choose PSB over CRT because we won't have any little ones with us and aren't interested in a pre-paid picture package.

We have eaten at 1900 Park faire for dinner and the Akershus for breakfast.

1900 Princess Dinner---Met Fairy Godmother,Cinderella,Prince Charming,Suzy and Perla.

Food was kinda blech(there was 7 of us--and noone really ate anything because everything they tried they didn't like)

Counted as one (1) table service meal

Akershus Princess Breakfast---Met Ariel,Belle,Aurora,Mulan,Jasmine and Snow White

This is our absolute favorite princess meal!!!

Food was decent(again 7 of us) there was scrambled eggs,assorted fruit,cinnamon rolls,cheesy potatoes(awesome) and...

Each princess made it to our table and the kids were in love

Counted as one (1) table service meal

Cinderellas Round Table-(In castle)

We skipped this one because after reading the menus the food just seemed really gross to us(we are not picky but the food has to at least sound appealing and what we would eat from the menu wasn't enough IMO to fill us up)

Plus people were upset by the lack of character interactions at this meal

It is two (2) table service meal credits

Rathering than planning your trip around your princess meal, may I suggest picking the meal that fits your trip.

For us, that was the PSB in Norway, we were staying at the Boardwalk, my son and husband needed to ride Mission:Space (my daughter was too short) - so the location and timing worked really well.

1900 Park Fare serves just dinner (I believe) and is a good choice if you have open dinner slots.

CRT has all meals and is a good choice if you are spending a lot of time in the MK anyway. But I'd be careful of breakfast, since you are using prime MK park time to eat. My ideal CRT time would be pre-nap or mid-afternoon for non-nappers - the park gets too busy to do too much - you might as well eat.

I understand not wanting to spend two TS credits on the CRT dinner, and being unhappy with the lack of characters (I'm actually thrilled by Cindy in the lobby and the FGM and Mice only) but I don't understand feeling there is not enough to eat...I'm copying just the entree part of the menu (you of course also get appetizer and dessert), and I'm going to have trouble choosing what to get, everything sounds good. And if you don't like the sauces, you can always ask to have them left off - strip away the fancy adjectives and you're really left with beef, pork, lamb, chicken, salmon, pasta, etc. - what's not to like?

Braised Lamb Shank with root vegetable mash served with cabernet sauce

Grilled Pork Tenderloin with orzo cheese casserole, cremini mushrooms and a port wine reduction

Spice-Rubbed Roast Chicken with smoked corn polenta, Swiss chard and natural broth

Roast Prime Rib of Beef with gratin potatoes and a cabernet sauce

Pan Seared Salmon with blue crab rock shrimp risotto and grilled asparagus

Cheese Tortellini with julienne vegetables, garlic cannellini bean sauce and fresh Romano

Akershus in Norway....Best Princess meal....IMO...
food was good and different....
Great character interaction.....Best one....IMO..
Very nice setting....intimate...couple of rooms...

Castle....well everyone should do it once..
It is cool to be in the castle...
Food was not good..IMO...
After you get the photo package...not worth the 2 TS...to do again...IMO

1900 Park Fare..my least favorite buffet....
Buffet seemed disorganized and small...
My table was the worst one...right next to the door....
might have jaded me...

Anyway....Akershus is a must do every trip..for me anyway

A lot apparently!! I will not pay 2 TS when there is only one thing on the menu everyone will like! No where near enough food choices for the price or foods equal to the price(ex:2 TS for tortellini)

We've done all three a few times. Our favorite is the Storybook Princess meal at Epcot. I honestly really don't get the fuss about the food there. The food "sounds" Norwegian, but most of it is basic food. :confused3 And the cold buffet has lots of things on it.

Anyway, we go for the characters. We did Park Fare once to see the Prince, but Cindy's the only princess there so we have not gone back since my DD5 prefers more princesses. princess:

I like CRT but it is quite expensive. We never get the DDP, since we are DVC and usually have an AP, so the DDE card is a better fit for us. But anyway, we like CRT. I prefer to get the latest seating for any given meal time so that we ar enot rushed. We had "lunch" there at 2:40 PM last month and were able to linger over our meal and drinks for a long time. It was very pleasant. In addition to Cindy in the lobby, we saw FGM, Belle, Jasmine and Snow White.

We have eaten at the Epcot meal many times. We like it because Ariel is DD5's favorite princess: , but Ariel was not there (at dinner) last month when we were there. But it wasn't a big deal. We saw Aurora, Belle, Jasmine, Alice, and oddly enough Cinderella at dinner. Usually we see Ariel, but not that time, and we have seen Mary Poppins and Snow White in the past.

But I agree with the idea of going with what meal works best in your schedule.

Princess Breakfast at Norway is a must do for us! WE are doing lunch at CRT this trip and paying out of pocket for it.

Our kids ate everything at the breakfast and we enjoyed it even though I am not a big breakfast eater!
