Princess Confusion!

A lot apparently!! I will not pay 2 TS when there is only one thing on the menu everyone will like! No where near enough food choices for the price or foods equal to the price(ex:2 TS for tortellini)

Well sure. If you don't like vegetables, meat, fish, mushrooms, pasta, or beans, it will be hard to find any restaurant that would be worth going to.

:confused3

Actually we have had great luck with all the restaurants we have gone to!!

Since you noticed I highlighted different items then you should have also noticed I didn't highlight EVERYTHING which your post infers

We like vegetables just not asparagus and some don't like mushrooms

Meat is fine--steak,roast,chops,shoulder,legs wings breast but we don't eat lamb(unless it is kibbee) or veal for obvious reasons

Fish is great! We eat lots of flounder, haddock, sole ,cod but do not care for Mahi Mahi,salmon,catfish--We also enjoy scallops and clams but dislike lobster and crab

Pasta is always welcome be it with meat sauce or Alfredo

And beans--well it depends on the type and how they are prepared

So for you to make a snide comment in relation to what I highlighted is bull--MANY MANY people do not care for the highlighted items--I am not alone!!

I still stand by my comments that the food available for the price is not worth it to us and just because those items are offered does not make the restaurant WORTH going to

I really dont want to argue with you about this. You also highlighted "spice rubbed" and "root vegetables".

I mean, if you wont eat the chicken without spices on it, you pretty much cant eat chicken anywhere. Even KFC has 11 spices in it.

It's really just a matter of personal taste, isn't it? We decided on breakfast in Akershus instead of lunch or dinner because we don't eat seafood, don't care for cold salads (like pasta, potato, or slaw), don't like rutabagas, beets, or cauliflower, and weren't wild about eating venison stew or lamb. But lots of other folks find that menu delicious, I'm sure! And maybe they'd think DH and I are crazy for wanting to try Boma or Tangierine Cafe... It's all good, no hard feelings...there's so much variety at WDW, that there's something for everybody :goodvibes

WOW! You say you don't want to argue but yet you find new things to pick about!! I have had both items at WDW and didn't care for them--The spice rub kept coming back up and the hash was too spicy for our taste.

And there is plenty of chicken to be had at WDW that has spices on it but not coated with them--and we like KFC.

True! Personal taste is everything when it comes to choosing restaurants! What one person may like others may not! Heck even within families the tastes run differently--I am slightly adventurous while DH positively will not try anything new!

I am sure you will enjoy the breakfast...we did! And let us know how well you liked Boma or the Tangierine Cafe!

Oh, you have a hard choice to make. We usually alternate yearly between princess meals. I really like the breakfast in Norway but prefer the lunch in Cinderella's castle. I try not to do both during one trip simply because we would get bored if I didn't take turns between them. But if we didn't go every single year I would throw myself 100% into things:)

I was curious about how old your kid(s) were before I answered. I looked back & saw that you have a 6 yr old girl and a DS2. IMHO I would go all out and see as much as possible since DD is on her way to growing up (my DD is 8 and didn't even want to wait to see Ariel this trip:sad: ).

I know the prices are high but in my humble opinion the extra meal can always be made up with a light breakfast, snack & late lunch another day. Everyone who uses the dining plan says they just can't eat everything they are offered and that you can mix up what meals are used on each day. With that in mind I bet all the meals you would like can be co-ordinated to fit it all in without going hungry. Since we've never done the meal plan I always pay OOP and still think both princess experiences are worth the $$$.

Good luck with your choice and I hope my 2 cents helped a little.

We haven't done CRT yet (and probably won't) but we have done PSB Breakfast several times and lunch once. We've also done PF dinner 3 times and breakfast once. We've enjoyed them all.

Norway-For most people breakfast may be the better option-the food is "regular" food. The cinnamon rolls and potatoes and delicious! I like the lunch too, however, I liked it better before they added the princesses. You do get a lot of princesses, for the money (5). We've always felt rushed here, and crowded. This is s popular meal.

Park Fare. Only princess at dinner. Cinderella and Prince Charming. The 2 mice (Suzy and Perla) are great. My DD7 enjoyed them the most. They danced with her several times. :goodvibes We enjoyed the food here the most. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 Very good, and the kid's buffet is lowered so they can serve themselves (alot of kid's favs :thumbsup2 ). We felt we could take our time, we weren't rushed at all.

If I had to chose just one, over the other, it would be Park Fare.

That's my 2 cents.

We have not eated at CRT (just didn't want to spend that much money for not great food).

Lunch at Akershus--did it once and won't do it again.

Dinner at 1900 Park Fare--we loved it! The food was great and we all left stuffed! Even picky DD 5 ate well. When we were there, Prince Charming was "sick" and Snow White was filling in for him. The character interaction here was the best we experienced!

Had to update you all...I let dd decide. I read the menu's to her. Then I told her we could do the castle but we would have to give up either Playhouse Disney breakfast or Chef Mickey's. So she picked 1900 Park Fare. She has her Cindy dress and everything.

Thanks so much for all of the help.

Last year we ate at Norway for diner, my DD's met lots of their favourite princesses, they had their photo's taken with Ariel in the lobby, and they met Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine & Aurora, although the food wasn't that wonderful, My DH was ill that afternoon had literally thrown up as we entered the restaurant  , and then when we got our bill they charged him the full amount :sad2: , but we spoke to the manager and they changed this without too many problems. This year we're trying CRT for breakfast we're eating here on our 1st day @8.30 and my DD's have no idea :yay:

Aw, that's great! I'm sure you will have fun and get some really cute pics with your DD in her Cindy dress. princess: I don't like that the picture package is automatically included at CRT -- makes the price much higher, and what if you don't like the way the pics came out? Or, like in our case, we won't have any little girls with us, so it's not like we need to send copies to Grandma  I have heard that you can hand your own camera to any Disney photographer in the park and they will take your pic on your own camera -- I wonder if that also applies to CRT? Does anyone know this? I know we did it at a Mickey meet & greet at DL.

I was really tempted by 1900 Park Fare -- not the princess dinner, but the Mary Poppins/Alice breakfast. Sounds like so much fun! But...we already have the PSB at Akershus, and 'Ohana breakfast w/Stitch -- I figure 2 character meals in one trip is enough for 2 adults. :rotfl2: So, maybe next time...wow, haven't even gone there yet, and already planning my next visit :goodvibes

We are doing the Ohana Breakfast also. My two-year-old loves Stitch, I can't wait to see his little face when he sees Stitch up close.

We've done all three you mentioned. We love the Breakfast in Norway. The food was good and we have always had great character interactions there. Last time we saw Belle in her yellow gown.
