Can anyone help me with info on this. I looked it up and they seem to have Breakfast lunch and dinner. Is it hard to book. Do you call Disney to make reservations. Thank you. :earsgirl:

The princesses are only there for breakfast, and it is the only time you can get American food there. Lunch and dinner are ethnic, and no princesses. The Princess Storybook breakfast may be difficult to get depending upon when you're going, you usually have to call exactly 90 days out in order to get it. You can call Disney and reserve this, yes, and they also ask for a credit card number in case you decide to cancel, there is a cancellation fee. Hope this helped! :wizard:

Actually, that's not true. All three meals are now princesses (although lunch and dinner are ethnic, like you said.) I'm going to the dinner with my DD4 On Nov. 6 and they did confirm that it is a princess dinner.

The CM did say not a lot of people realize this, hence the availability over the breakfast.

Oh really, is this new?

Hi You people are the best. I knew you could help. Unfortunately my son just emailed me this morning about this and I am leaving tomorrow for Disney , they will be there on Sat. I guess my best bet is go ask at the desk when I get there or to go over to Norway and ask there since it is so close. Thank you soooo much . You all on these boards are so helpful. I would call and keep calling. But I have booked breakfast as close as 2 days out with no trouble. At Epcot there is almost always availability for at least one of the meals.

Hi I am back. I did as you said once I was down in Disney and went to the desk every day and asked and Sat got reservations at Norway for Wed morning. But was disapointed with the breakfast....I thought it would be a buffet for 21.99 but it was family style small bowl of fruit, small pan of cinnamon buns and a skillet of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and hash brown potatoes for 7, 6 adult(2 teen) 1 child.....you could ask for seconds but the kids were not too thrilled with scrambled eggs as only choice. and the Princesses(Jasmine, Mulon, Snow White and one other) whipped by for a quick photo and then off and then they wanted you out. Had done Chef Mickey and Crystal Palace Character buffets for less and they were great. Was wondering what others thought if they have done these breakfasts. Thanks Carol

I can confirm this. I also made a lunch ressie, and was told emphatically, that they do lunch now as well as breakfast. clearly popular.

I think it is fairly new; not sure how long it's been this way.

I thought about booking a princess beakfast but after researching it on this and other websites, decided against it. I heard the same complaint way too many times which was that the princesses did not spend enough time at the table visiting. And before anyone says anything, every one that made that complaint acknowledged that they have a whole restaurant of people to visit, they just wish they'd been able to visit with them more. So for that reason we decided to skip it. I'm especially glad now that I hear the food wasn't all that great. Live and learn.

I felt bad that I didn't get the time to research it more and save him the money that is why I posted again on my return so others might know my experience. My son emailed about this the day I posted here and then we left for Disney the next day so I had just assumed it was a buffet. Also I forgot to mention that the room they put us in at 9 AM seating was mostly empty.....so why was it so hard to book? I kept getting told it was booked then told I could book only 6, then two separate but no guarentee we would be together. We we were at one table and the room was empty???? Very dissapointing...but like you said live and learn and pass on what we learned. Thanks again for all your help....I know I would have learned all this if I had just had more time and found the right place to go. Carol :earsgirl:

Just got back earlier this week and did the princess lunch at Akershus. I was pleasantly surprised with the meal, figuring I wouldn't really like it. DH had the soup and sandwich combo and liked it and I had a dish similar to meatloaf and mashed potatoes that I really liked. I went to the cold buffet and got ham, cheese and bread and made sandwiches for my 4 year old son and almost-3 year old daughter. The dessert tray was excellent.

I wasn't thrilled with the princess interaction - it ws very brief. But that being said, my daughter tells everyone that she had lunch with the princesses and was very happy. She had no complaints.

We did it last Friday for the first time. It was only 2 of us, and I'm tiny & don't usually eat breakfast, so I don't eat much, but DBF does, so it was perfect for us. We had 3/4 of the cinnamon buns, did not eat the fruit, and we had seconds brought over of the skillet. I didn't really enjoy the food all that much (I wish the potatos did not contain whatever it was that were all over them); however, the princesses were really great. Mulan kept telling my boyfriend that he was dishonering his family because he had skipped class to go to WDW. I also enjoyed that you did not have to get up, like a regular buffet. I wouldn't eat there every trip, though, as I do places like Chef Mickey's and 1900 Park Fare.

Doing the character meal for princesses is a great way to see a lot of princesses at once but you do kind of have to go in to it knowing that the interaction will be quicker. If you do it but find yourself wanting more then you can always visit Toontown at the Magic Kingdom or certain countries at Epcot for additional princess fun. princess:
