I saw this in the Disney catalog, for only 34.99 plus software this seems to good to be true. We do not own a digital camera so I thought it would be a nice starter one for myself and dd. I know nothing about megapixels and all that stuff. I was just curious if anyone has this yet and what they thought of it?

Which catalog did you see this in? I have not seen it so I can't help you. I looked thru the Halloween one and didn't see it in there.

For a 5 year old it may be ok and it will not be too much of a loss if it gets lost or broken. As far as 1.3 megapixels that is not too good and the quality will not be that great. I would not try to print anything larger than a 4x6 at that quality. Also there does not seem to be any room for an expansion card so you will be stuck at the 100 pic limit. If you are looking for yourself go to best buy and get somthing a bit better, if it is for your daughter she will prob like it. Also there is not photo of the back but it seems that there would be no view screen which is a nice feature on a digital. JMO though.

Thanks for your info. I never even thought of it being so small that you could not preview the picture. I think I was more excited about the software. Is there Disney picture maker software available to buy? I really need to get updated on my electronics. I couldn't even tell you the difference between an ipod or an mp3.LOL

I see it now. I thought is was an alarm clock or something when I was flipping thru the magazine. Wow. Very low resolution.

Your right about the price being right for a little girl. I want to get my DD 6 one but I can't see spending the money to get a good for something to happen to it.

I saw that, but I also read the warning in the dashed box regarding international delivery per California regulations I changed my mind:

WARNING: This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer, or birth defects or other reproductive harm.

I don't want to take a chance.

All of the snowglobes also contain that warning, as do some of the clothing. Everything causes cancer in CA. ~Mandy

There is some obscure law in CA that says if (insert tiny obscure number here) of a chemical that has yet to be proven to cause cancer but it may is found in the product then there must be a warning. 99% of the products you buy in CA, 99% of the buildings you enter in CA (including Disneyland) will contain that warning.

Don't worry about it. The same cameras sold in other states don't carry the warning. It's a CA thing.
