I love rollercoasters, and especially 'wild mouse' type ones...will Primevil Whirl make me, well...hurl?!? It looks like so much fun and I really want to go on it. Anyone who has been on it, can you give me a heads up?!?

Many times and is low ranking hurl factor in my opinion. :goodvibes :wave2:

Jerks you about a bit. Hold on to your cap and sunglasses. Not my favorite ride in AK. :)

Is it as bad as the teacups? I can't do them. I tried once, and was pretty queasy for quite awhile afterwards.

It is not as bad,DW can't do Tea Cups and she has done Whirl and not her favorite because of rough ride.Did not make her sick and upset her tummy though. :goodvibes :wave2:

It doesn't make me sick, but I don't ride regularly just because it is SO jerky. I like fast thrill rides, not one that is going to bruise my shoulder!!

It's not too bad. My daughter made me ride it twice. I think if you just ride once it should be fine. As everyone else had said, it is VERY jerky.

I beg to differ--we rode it in blazing August heat around noon. There is no shade on the ride; the combination of the whirling and the sun did me in. I was violently ill. We have almost the same ride at Kennywood, enclosed, and I'm fine on it; but the sun and the heat really did a number on me. (I've found since the second pregnancy that I can't do "whirl" like I used to. No one warned me about that side effect :-)

I almost threw up. Thank goodness it was over when it was because I couldn't take one second more of it.

Haven't done it but hate Wild mouse things. Glad to know it's jerky because I can't do jerky rides (bad neck/shoulder/back). Can't do teacups, either. I can't do spinny things anymore. I can't even do the pirate ship type rides anymore.

My DD rode it several times with her aunt. DDwas 8 then. They loved it and it didn't bother either of them. I sat out because of inner ear prblems. It would have wiped me out for the day. :faint:

I was there in Janurary for a girls weekend. I have been on it before and sometimes get quesy but I know there is a color that spins more than the others. I think it is yellow. My friends made fun of me and than we asked and she said one color did spin more. I don't remember which color but I think it was yellow. My girlfriends and I laughed our buts off the whole ride and could barely stand afterwards. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

I can go on Space Mountain, Splash, RNR, etc, but not teacups! I wouldn't even get near that one. We went on Primeval Whirl a few years ago, and the whole time I was saying to my DH, "oh my god, what do I do, I need to get off now"! I hated it and would never go on it again! The other 2 girls on it with us that we didn't know thought I was a weirdo! I don't like any spinning at all, and it does it by itself and there is no way to stop it from turning. :scared1:

My husband was so sick after this ride and was feeling poorly for the rest of the day. We don't call it Primieval Hurl for nothing.

WOW! So many responses...I usually get sick on spinning rides (teacups, tilt-a-whirl thingies), so I'm a little apprehensive, but I do LOVE rollercoasters so I want to try. Does the fact that its moving make the spinning/dizzy sensation any better?!?

(Thanks for all the replies so far!)

First, this ride is, IMHO, a classic "wild mouse" ride. This thing jerks you all over heck and back - which is what a "wild mouse" does; simply look at the track and you'll see why. The spinning is of the same type as a tilt-a-whirl - that is, it's not constant or powered, can reverse direction and just depends on where your car is when you make a curve - but not nearly as "spinny" as a t-a-w. My problem is that I'm 6'4" and don't fit too well in the car - I call it "Primeval Bruise" ;).

I'm a roller coaster junkie. I live by Cedar Point, go there more than twice a year, and have ridden all 16 coasters in one day. I must say I was throughly disappointed by Primevil Whirl. It was EXTREMELY boring and way to jerky. I hated it, my whole family did. I'm not claiming to be a roller coaster expert, but Primevil Whirl Sux!

I'm a 40 yr old mom who considers herself a ride wimp but.....I loved this ride and I did not think it was too much anything, just fun!

There are so many different answers here, you'll have to make the dicision. :confused3
