Hi -

Does anybody know if you can order the full 50's Prime Time menu at their bar, or are you just limited to appetizers and such?

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Laura

I just researched some threads on this last night and the answer I got was that you can indeed order anything off the regular menu while at the lounge. (Sorry, I didn't keep the links.)

But I haven't tried it so I can't confirm - I'm sure someone else will.

We were thinking of doing the same thing to get the atmosphere of the place but more low - key without the interaction of the "cousins".

Whenever my cousin and I visit WDW, The 50's Prime Time is a must-do.

However, I'm flying solo for my next trip and can do without the "schtick", but didn't want to miss out on the delicious food.

I have ordered from the bar and while I believe there is a bar menu of limited items you can probably get just about anything. We happened to want s'mores one day so we had them and milk sitting at the bar.

I was there on a solo trip in March and the CM at the door suggested I sit at the bar rather than have to wait for a table. There was a full menu available (I had the pot roast & later s'mores)and the service was excellent. (And I didn't order anything alcoholic to drink, although the glow drinks looked interesting!) I think the bartender was Dave; he was very friendly and made me feel right at home. He chatted with everyone at the bar and it got other conversations going - I wound up talking to a nice couple next to me who turned out to be from nearby NH. That helped with that lonely feeling you can sometimes get when dining solo. You don't get the teasing "show" you get in the restaurant itself, but it was comfortable and the food is still great. Maybe 2 other people were eating meals, others were just drinking and/or snacking. I'd recommend it, especially if you are by yourself and don't mind not sitting with the cousins!
