Prime Rib???

Don't know if I'm on the right board or not but...
What exactly is 'Prime Rib'? Is it a particular steak?Ribs?or is it similar to our Sliced Roast Beef?

I think it's from the rib section, hence the "prime". It's the best cut, very tender and yummy.
