Hi everyone,
First I would like to say how much I enjoy this board. You have helped me so much in the past when I was recovering from a broken leg and ankle. My May WDW trip was a dream because I broke down and rented a scooter from an offsite vendor after reading all the posts here.
My Son In Law, who lives with me, has MS and I would like to buy him a mobility scooter. He can walk short distances in the house with a cane, but outside for any distance walking he needs to be pushed in a wheelchair. I would like something that could easily come apart and my daughter could lift inside the minivan. Thirty-some pound parts would be okay. I would also like something that has range with the battery so he could go all day such as at WDW without charging. I was thinking that the Pride Go Go Elite Traveler Plus with the 17 or 18 ah battery pack might fit the bill. They are currently running about $1,100 for the three wheel model. I would love to have your opinions and guidance about this model or suggestions for an alternate scooter. Also, he has expressed a preference for the four wheel model instead of the three wheel. Opinions on that and suggestions of a reliable place to purchase would be greatly appreciated.
