Ok..I do not even know if I can ask this, but I will, and if it goes against protocol, then it will be removed....

There may be this tiny weenie chance that we could cruise the week of Sept 17th, and I submitted a quote to Dana, and am anxiously waiting....Such great reviews...

Question is: DU has a special on their site, what do you think the chances are of someone else coming in lower than that???

You see, here comes the obsessive compulsive disorder now... :rolleyes2
We are not even sure if we CAN go, and already I am asking questions...

Thanks guys.. Waiting for your opinions...

DU is one of the best as far as discounted travel sites. If anyone comes in lower, it won't be much lower. Yes, I can name a couple of others worth checking, but they won't be significantly different. In the grand scheme of things, the difference (if any) isn't worth the hassle! DU is a good reliable firm--don't hesitate to go with them.

Check the big 3, dreams, allseasons travel, and Costco.. They all should be pretty close, sometimes one is much better than the other, just depends on the dates your traveling...

Not to hijack this thread, but since we're on the topic of "can I ask this question" I thought I'd finally ask this:
We just went on a 2/12 west. carib DCL cruise. We booked it in December without really knowing anything about DCL. We booked through expedia and got a cat 10 room for 3 (myself, husband and 2 yr old daughter). We didn't really shop around but we paid $2300 total. First question: Was that a good deal? I was looking at prices for next year and they seem MUCH higher. Is it worth waiting til "last minute" to rebook?
Thanks?

Umber, I never think waiting till the last minute pays off with DCL.. Since they have only two ships, they are almost always selling at full capacity. Of course if you are a Florida Resident, travel agent (iata), or a military, these rates come out often quite closed to the cruise date..

I think your rate was reasonable...Woah...wait a minute, your daughter is an infant, therefore paid only port charges..On second thought, I am really not at all sure you did so well, but chalk it up there as a learning experience, and do better the next time...

Regarding your original question, Dana has always had the lowest prices for my cruises. Her price was significantly less than the qupote I received from DU....I hope this helps.

Have fun on your cruise! I'm cruising the following week, 2/24/05
