Hi everyone. I have a question I hope someone can answer. I am planning to visit The week after Thanksgiving, but arriving on Saturday. According to the rates, that is holiday rates. Will my rates go down for the remainder of the week? Can I use a 40% pin code or free dining for my stay if the first day is holiday rates? Lastly, we are planning to stay at WL and need 2 rooms because we are a family of 5, at 330 a night for holiday rates it would cost 660.00, ouch! Can we stay somewhere else the night before and check in early and still get our tickets and dining card that morning? We want to go to the parks that Sunday and have a character breakfast too. Has anyone had a situation like this, what did you do? Thanks so much!!

WDW resort pricing is done on a night by night basis. You will only pay holiday rates for the 27th, the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The remainder of your stay is in value season, which is the least expensive season. :thumbsup2

The discount issue will be trickier... if the 27th is blacked out for discounts but the rest of your stay is included, you'll have to have 2 separate reservations in order to take advantage of the discount. But, I'd worry about that when/if November discounts are released.

If you end up staying elsewhere the first night, you can pick up your tickets a day early, but I'm not sure about the DDP. Hopefully someone will come along who can help w/that.

I can confirm your question because I just got off the phone with a CM.

11/26-12/4
ASMu 8 nights, 8 base tickets, purchase regular Disney dining plan
2 Adults
$2,028.70 (original plan)

11/26-11/27
ASMu 2 nights, 2 base tickets, purchase regular Disney dining plan
$785.02
11/28-12/4
ASMu 6 nights, 6 base tickets, purchase regular Disney dining plan
$1,395.40
Total $2,180.42

That's $151.72 MORE!

We will not be using the 30% PIN. I'm hope I get the free dining PIN.

I arrive the Saturday after Thanksgiving every year.

This year, I got the monster pin code and I changed my first day to a room-only ressie, since that day is still considered peak season. Then it drops to value season the next day, when everyone leaves from the holiday week.

I got a rack rate of $214.88 for the one day at POR - had you considered booking a mod or value the first day and then move over to WL with the pin code the next day.

Hope that helps!

You can pick up the tickets one day early, but the dining plan starts on the first day of your package - you have to pay OOP for the first day. That is what I am doing.
