anyone know how much the average meal per person is

also how much it is for a btl of beer

thanks

Hi there,

This is going to sound really unhelpful, but it really depends on where and what you will be eating.

For example, in WDW for a table service meal you can be looking at upwards of $25 per person plus tax and tip. Counter service (eg burger & fries, pizza) is much cheaper. Check out the menus on All Ears for a better idea.

Offsite you can eat at various different establishments very cheaply. For example, a 2 course meal for an adult can be under $10 or at some bufferts even less!

Can you give a little more indication of the type of meals you have in mind? Or will you be doing all types?

Cheers

Karen

Most importantly, bottle of beer $3.50 (or more depending on size and brand) :drinking1

As Miffy said, it does depend a lot upon where you want to eat, but I know that for us (2 adults) we worked out that we spend an average of $60 per day on food while we're in Florida.

That includes all meals and snacks, both in and out of parks and all our trips to Publix for groceries (we typically eat most of our breakfasts in our hotel room - easier to buy cereal, milk, bagels etc. than go out most mornings) and includes taxes and tips.

We also eat at a variety of places from the cheapest fast food and buffets to more expensive restaurants, so this figure should work out well if you're going to vary it similarily.

Like others have said a lot depends on where you are going to be eating.

We usually ate breakfast in the hotel.

Lunch would be in the parks and with drink would perhaps cost about 20 dollars for the 2 of us. sometimes a little more sometimes a little less.

We either ate dinner in the hotel, for just an entree i.e Steak and a soft drink it would cost around 70 dollars. of course if we decided to have starters and puds it would cost quite a bit more.
We sometimes had dinner in the parks, say Crystal Palace would cost about 22.99 each 46 dollars plus tip 7 - 10 dollars plus 6 1/2 % tax. Whole meal coming close to 60 dollars for 2.

You can of course eat a lot cheaper if you want to off site or out of the hotels.

We ended up eating only 2 meals a day, taking rolls, cereal and fruit to the parks with us if we had a big breakfast or eating an early lunch if we ate in the room (mmmmm doughnuts :) ) Quite apart from the time it takes if you eat 3 meals in restaurants (even counter service) you may have to call maintenace to widen the doors ;) , the portions are seriously huge!

I know a lot of resturaunts in California do "smaller" portions. Do Dis Resturaunts do something similar?
