Holy cow I just got off the phone with Disney cast member was looking for grand Floridian villa studio for last week march 1st 2weeks of april and nothing was available all gone? prices just came out today and no studios left for that time.
Asked about beach club villa studio since we stayed there last time last year. price has got up 1100 more from last year to this year WOWWWWWW. same room same dining plan and same park tickets.

We're booking a split stay in March (Poly and Yacht Club): non-discounted rate is $649.13 (with tax) for a standard room (weeknight) at the Poly!!! Definitely hoping for some code magic!

yup. Just booked CR, with dining and it's 2k more than priced last year for same dates. :crutches:Now, they've got an arm and two legs from me!

VGF studios are DVC units. They are almost never available for cash booking via Disney. There are only 47 of them, and they are exclusively booked with DVC points.

Last year when we booked the day the prices came out we paid for rate ok fine we wanted to go at that time sons 5th birthday. Cast member said to check and wait for a sale cause u can get it. perfect checked website daily sometimes 2 and 3 times a day for 6 months straight sale comes on finally bang grab phone wife calls sorry there is nothing available there for the sale which it said was covered. ( beach club villa) after talking to them for a long time nothing they could do. found later after several phone calls to Disney is that some resorts only put 1 or 2 rooms depending on how full they are since the beach is a popular resort they only had a room or 2 on sale. very heart breaking. I hope you get your sale I am still waiting for my calendar to update itself on the site so I can start looking around at different properties and dates to see what is going to work for our family.

For my timeframe it didn't go up that much, I did a comparison of this year and last year just to see the increase:
We booked a Grand Floridian Lagoon View and got 9 day hoppers, dining plan for October 2017 and the difference between this year and next is only $151 more.

Last year we had no problem getting this room, it was available however we went with the beach club villa cause of their pool which was amazing. Since we went to the kingdom 4 out of 7 days and headed back to the resort to enjoy the pool everyday we spent a lot of wasted time riding the shuttle bus. from resort to Mk. Mk back to resort for swim and relax mid day. Resort back to MK for evening and then MK back to resort. I figured we wasted about 2 hours everyday on shuttle bus. That's why this time we wanted to try the grand Floridian but that didn't work. LOL

Funny, I just got a quote for a friend and for mid-August this year vs. next year, 7 nights at All-Star Movies with 5 day 1 park passes, it's $13.50 cheaper NEXT year. So I guess it just varies for each resort.

I'm sticking with "almost never" on VGF, and assure you that if you were able to book it cash, it was a rarity.

I would of been happy with that. We booked early june the price was 5140 beach club villa studio with deluxe dining 6 day park hopper pass. today when I called for april 1st to april 7th 2017 it is
6250 for 6 day ticket no hopper pass and deluxe dining. To get the plus dining with 6 day tickets it was 5735. wasn't excepting that. I thought forsure that was going to be under 5000.

Oh I am happy with that! :)

I wonder why it's such a dramatic difference in price increases between resorts? Maybe it's the time of year. We are going late October (2017)

April 1-7 is prime spring break in 2017 based on the dates of Easter.

You travel during spring break, you get spring break pricing.
They said june was also prime time it was the start of summer break.
I also had them look in October and for a regular room at the beach club it was $4995 with the plus dining. 6 days ticket no hopper pass.
april1st to april 7th it was $5588 to stay at beach club regular room with 6 days ticket no hopper plus dining. April 1st to april 7th with 6 day ticket no hopper plus dining beach club villa it is $5735. Didn't get price for villa in Oct. Wasn't available. so the difference of going in april and October is $593 more. The difference of staying in a regular room or villa in april is $147 more for the villa

Indeed! We're going in June - could probably do a week and a half for the same price had we had been able to go another time of year.

I'm certain I've read that June isn't prime, actually. July and August yes, but gosh, our school districts just got out on Friday. People here are just now available to travel for summer.

Sweet good to know, they told us that summer break start the 1st week of june. That the 1st part of the trip wasn't prime rate but the back half of it was prime rate. it is what it is. my sons birthday was in that stretch so we paid for it. We set it up where r 1st full day was his bday and he could see mickey on his actual birthday.
Is there a site or somewhere that it tells you what is prime and what isn't? is Oct? it seems like every month has something going on.

Yes mouse savers lists the seasons and the rack rates for all resorts. If 2017 rates were just released, they may not have it posted yet, but they will soon (I didn't check their site to see).

And the price seasons are likely to be similar, so you could still look at 2016 rates to get an idea of the variation between times during the year.
