At Christmas, we bought 4 tickets non-stop, DFW to MCO (or whatever it's called now) for 1100.00. We are beginning to plan for our trip for next June, and the prices aren't out yet, so we checked this June's prices, knowing it would be a little more than we'd have to spend, being so close, since we book far in advance. Anyway, I couldn't believe it! Non-stop prices are upwards of 600.00 per ticket! So, is this from the fuel prices, or because it's so close, or a combo? Should we consider driving instead? It'd be 18 hours from here, but MUCH cheaper. We just hadn't considered driving as it takes some of our vacation time and the little one has a hard time with it..........but he'll be 4 by then...........we'll keep watching, of course, but at those prices, we won't be buying, I just wondered if others think they'll stay this high, or go lower.........opinions?

Check to see if flying to Tampa might have better fares. It is a short drive, approx. 90 mins to WDW and getting out of the airport is very easy and all the roads are well marked. From the airport you will pick up
I-275 thru downtown which leads right onto I-4 east to Orlando. Off I-4 take exit 62.

Thanks-----------I'll check on it.

Thanks to hints from the Budget Boards I booked flights for my entire family (9 people) in March for our trip in May and we paid $54 each way on Delta Song from NY to Orlando.
I then decided to go again in July so I booked 3 tickets in March at $57 each way, again on Delta Song, NY to Orlando.
The same flights now are being shown at $249 each way, almost $200 more each way.
If you know when you are going watch the airline that you prefer and read the budget boards. The people there always have great hints on saving money and will give notice when they see prices go down. Peggie

Wow! I don't know what dates in June you were looking at, but I found some on Airtran for $231 each.

I don't find that price, but I do find it for slightly more than 300...........that's definitely better, thanks!

I'm flying in June from Houston to Mco on Continental and I paid $250 rt a piece. This was back in October. The same flight now is somewhere around $350 a piece. The more the flight fills up the more the cost goes up. Delta Song doesn't fly out of Texas. Too bad they have good prices.

We went in December and paid $59 each way purchased in September. I now have tickets for August, $64 down and $47 back, purchased within the last month. So basically I paid less. These flights are on SW from BWI. Last August I paid around the same also,

We are flying from Corpus Christi to MCO, by way of DFW and our tickets were $215 round trip per person. We are flying American Airlines in July.
