I have been checking the DCL website off and on to see how the prices fluxuate over time and the prices for December cruises on the Wonder have come down between $200-$400 since I booked.

What's up with that??

Is that normal?

yes that is normal. You can try to call DCL and get the better rate if you have not already fully paid for the trip. I know that when we stay at WDW we always book like a year in advance and usually a really good rate for the resort comes out and we call and switch and are able to get that rate. Like this summer we originally were going to spend $144 a night, now its just $94 a night. You should try your luck and see what happens. This usually only works if you have not paid in full yet. and the rules for DCL might be different than WDW, but it doesnt hurt to check!

Could you just rebook at the lower rate and then cancel the first cruise? Or are you tied into a specific room that you want?

Do you have a TA or did you book directly? If you have a TA, talk with them and see if they can get you the new rate.

u Can ask for the lower Rate Even if u are paid in full....
... or like Mary said book At lower Rate and Cancel other one im sure the CM would Be happy to help with this..

Suzanne...For our cruise the cost has gone down? I thought it was sold out, which would lead me to think that there would be no room cost to fluxuate? I may have to check into this!

The Dec. 19th one looks sold out to me too on the Disney website. It doesn't come up as an option. It is still listed on the All Seasons Travel website though, so I suppose it is still possible to book it, but I can't imagine the price going down if it is that full already. Where did you see the change in price?

I was looking at the December prices in general on Disneycruise.com. The Land/Sea that begins on the 9th was the same price as the one that begins on the 16th when I booked in February. Now it is $200 less.

The same thing happened last Dec. with our Eastern sailing......11/29/03 the prices started to drop about 120 days out!!

The prices sometimes drop if the cruise is not selling as fast as expected. DCL will always match a lower rate IF you request it. It is not an automatic thing. If you call them and point out that the rate for your sailing date, your category is less than you paid, they will refund the difference to you (if you're paid in full) or re-adjust your balance due.

The reason that AllSeas may show availability when DCL shows none is that All Seas buys blocks of cabins and then re-sells them to the public. DCL has to show those cabins as sold since they are sold to AllSeas. I'm sure there is some sort of arrangement for returning unsold inventory to DCL, but not sure how that works.
