Is anyone looking at flight prices for 2011 yet?

I have just got back from disney on friday but I'm already in planning mode for next year :rotfl2:

I usually don't have a fixed date/month.

I have been June - October in the past.

I have had a look at my usual flight websites and prices seem to be crazy! :confused3:confused3:

I'm looking for flights for Aug 11. So far I can only find Virgin flights to Orlando International...and they cost a fortune! Does anyone know who else flies to MCO?

BA do and the majority of the US airlines but I'm finding them all really expensive and with a lot of changes!

I dont even mind flying into Sanford...

We've booked fr March/April and paid a lot more than last year.

£450 is a the best you can hope for from the prices I've seen so far......big change from our £280 last time!

we managed to get economy for 462(ish) per person travelling on miles + money from LGW to MCO in late may (18 nights) - had to be flexible with dates so we could get that price but its much better than premium economy - which would have cost double.

hope you find a good deal.

I managed to get 4 adults Manchester to MCO on may 17th for £429 each direct with virgin :cool1: so ther is decent prices out there!

just found £1042 for late august/early sep with BA for 2 adults...
from LGW to MCO. :goodvibes

I know the prices for Sept 2010 were going crazy. I had watched them since they were released last year and were a steady £900 pp for PE, until about 6months ago, when they started to go crazy. There was a one-off sale day thing were they slipped down to like £700 each, and then after that they were anywhere between £950 and £1150 for the dates we wanted. At one point they were £1560pp, and at that time, the PE rate was actually cheaper than the economy rate!

Thankfully, we got those seats for £850pp in the end, but it makes me very scared to start looking at our May flights, because I just know the prices are going to be all over the place! :S Although, if the merger between United and Continental airlines goes ahead, that could prove interesting, as I've no idea if they will continue to codeshare flights with Virgin, or whether they will separate and provide competition for Virgin and start to drive down prices again!

we really want to go back next August (2nd 2 weeks ) but for the 4 of us its around £3,200 with BA and £3,000 with the charters , then we would have to get transfers if we went to Sanford :sad1:

Went with BA this year and loved the flights but cant afford that plus the price for SSR has gone up a lot too :sad1:

Need to win the lottery !

Hi all,

All depending when you want to go in August , Ive just booked flights with BA, 24/8 - 6/9 flying Gatwick - Orlando and Returning Tampa - Gatwick for 2 Adults & 1 Child , Total Cost £1430....... I thought that was a very good price as most airlines were £2000/£2500 ....

We've just booked flights from Manchester to Los Angeles with 1 stop in Philly and has cost us £816.50 per ticket with US Airways and this was the cheapest airline (as of when I booked) with decent flight times - we could have gone slightly cheaper with american airlines but times were ridiculous!
Prices have gone way up!

We booked direct flights to New York (well Newark) from Glasgow with Continental last month at £500pp! Alot more than I would have paid when you compare it to the £347 we paid for our Glasgow-Newark-Orlando flights this year in May (booked July '09). Can't really complain though as my dad has paid for our flights as we're going for my mum's 50th.

I think next year is definitely going to get more and more expensive!

Booked yesterday for Aug 6th-20th with Virgin Atlantic. Two adults, one child, £2,550. I could cry! Tried every option possible to bring down the price, Miles Plus Money, Reward flight, Companion flight, no availability for any of them. B.A. were even more expensive, and less convenient times. This is the first time we'll be staying onsite, and the first time going in the summer. It will definitely also be the LAST time. Will go back to travelling in late April/early May, when flights are considerably cheaper.

Thanks for the reassurance. :)

£2,550 for two adults and one child is crazy. Is that for economy?

For dates I am looking at in August £1,020pp for economy, they know people want to book early so charging a premium. I am hoping once the prices have settled we will get some offers but I don't mind indirect, or driving from any airport in Florida or even Atlanta, just now I can book indirect and save about £1,000(for 3 of us) over direct prices but no rush yet.
For Sept check BA they have already released seats and some reasonable prices.
