Being new at the WDW trip planning, I would like to know what you mean by priceline?? Is it a website to get trip quotes or do you call them and how far in advance can you do that??
Priceline is a bidding for travel site. Basically you can bid on hotel rooms, airfares and rental cars. HOWEVER, the big issue is that you have no idea what you will get and once you bid your credit card is charged and you are stuck.
If you are considering Priceline read the terms and conditions on their website carefully! Also read the FAQ's and the bidding information you can find on www.biddingfortravel.com I cannot stress enough that you should not bid unless you can live with what you get. For example, Priceline has traditionally shown the following hotels as Resort in the WDW area
Marriott World Center (off site)
Gaylord Palms (off site)
Hilton (Downtown Disney)
Wyndam Palace (Downtown Disney)
Swan/Dolphin (Epcot)
So if your heart is set on the Swan/Dolphin and you will be unhappy with any of the the others DON'T use Priceline. If you must be on site or you will be unhappy DON'T use Priceline.
Thank you CarolA!! I appreciate your input! I guess I am more particular being our first and maybe only cruise (unless my DH loves like I hope he does!)
