Hello disboard experts! :)

My boyfriend and I recently booked a trip to Disney in late July and im working on getting airfare. Southwest has nonstop flights to Orlando and return for 304 round trip. I'm also looking into price lines name your price tool for flights. I know we won't know our departure time or our arrival time as well as layover and or carrier until our bid is accepted.

Has anyone used this tool and gotten a deal and or had a positive experience? Thanks!

You may have better luck with your question on the transportation board.

If there is a possibility I would get in very late or a layover I would certainly not use Priceline. The money you save may be wasted on arriving very late and wasting a full day that you paid for the hotel but thats just me.

$300, IMO, roundtrip is a good price. Not great but certainly not bad. Id take it and move on.

Let us know what you decide. Good luck and happy planning!

Also, don't forget to factor in baggage. All that you save in airfare may be eaten by the baggage fees of an unknown carrier.

We planned on taking the "redeye" out of kc at 6:30 pm because I'm a hairstylist and I would like to work that day since it's a Saturday. But with the Priceline app, that may not be an option.

You're correct.. Certainly not the best or the worst deal. If southwest drops the fare on our return flight, I'll be happy. I'm just being frugal

I thought of that as well. Depending on the airline.. We may end up sharing a suitcase or even going carry on only. But that's the downside to the service. You can't plan until you buy

Well if you get a flight thats not a rd eye you will end up loosing money from a days work. Something else to keep in mind.

I'd take the non-stop SW no matter what. I got a 'deal' from Priceline a couple years ago. The trip back to St. Louis was a nightmare. I was supposed to get into St. Louis by around 10pm, but I didn't get home until 2AM. And it ended up the baggage fees pretty much ate up any savings I got from using Priceline. SW non-stop is worth every penny to me.
