I will need to rent a car at the Orlando airport for one night before our cruise and also one night when we return. I was wondering if anyone has used priceline to rent for just one night. Hope it is okay to ask what you paid and what kind of car you requested. I wanted to get an idea before I did it. I thought it might be less expensive this way. I am wrong about this. Any responses are appreciated. Thank you.

Although we use Happy Limo for our port transportation, we often do quickie weekends in Orlando and rent a car via Priceline for a night or two so we can bum around. I LOVE Priceline! We usually end up with Avis or Alamo, although we had Hertz once (you have to take a shuttle bus to Hertz, but that was mitigated by the fact that they upgraded us from an economy car to a RAV4). Check out www.biddingfortravel.com for info. on rates, but typically we pay $15 to $18 per day for a one or two day weekend rental of an economy or compact car.

Just remember you can't rent and return to different locations via Priceline, so you won't be able to drive to the Port or back to the airport. I love Priceline also, and Orlando seems to always have great Priceline deals since there are so many cars and hotel rooms in the area, I guess. Scroll down Biddingfortravel.com to near the bottom to find the Rental Car section. Under that will be a section covering the Orlando area. Click on that and you'll see what the reported rates are for your dates and city. Also read the FAQ section for bidding information.
