O.K. I'm finally getting into this century and considering giving priceline a try! I have read that you can only use this for up to 2 people, as they cannot guarantee how many beds will be in your room. I have read about many of you using priceline, and certainly some of you must have kids.. so what is the story?

Thanks,
Tammy

Priceline will only guarentee that you get a room that will accomodate 2 people...however in Orlando you should have NO problem whatsoever getting a room with 2 double beds....in some cities that is not the case (NYC, London and some places in Chicago for instance it would be bery unlikely that you could get a room with 2 beds), but in Orlando hotels tend to have WAY more double bedded rooms than kings so you are safe. After your bid is accepted and you find out what hotel you got you just call the hotel directly and request a non-smoking room with 2 beds or whatever...

We have stayed multiplt times on Priceline bids and never had any trouble getting a room with 2 beds.

FYI... you know Priceline does NOT book at any Disney owned resorts. There are a couple of places on hotel row near DTD that they sometimes book at and once in a blue moon the Dolphin or Swan will pop up... but chances of being on property are slim. You might want to check out the "Orlando Hotels and Attractions" board for more info on off site hotels.

Thanks SB. We are going to be looking for a place to stay one night prior to moving on-site, since we will arrive late in the evening. We only have 1 child, so we could all sleep in a king bed. I just didn't want to be breaking any priceline rules.

I do priceline all the time if I don't care about the exact location, usually with fantastic results. If I need 2 beds, I email the hotel after the bid is accepted, with a very polite note asking for two beds and to confirm non-smoking. I have never had a problem. In your case, I wouldn't think you would have a problem. Good luck on your bidding!

first time posting...I just wanted to respond. Im new to priceline and LOVING it. I booked Dolphin for June @ 70/night!

I pricelined a room in January for DS, DH and myself. After I got the confirmation from Priceline, I called the hotel directly to ask questions about super late checkin, and the shuttle service. I also mentioned that it would be the three of us, and that if we had to we could all smush into a King. The rep was sweet as pie, and told me no, no, no, your baby will need a good nights sleep, getting in so late, I will just flag you for 2 queens or 2 doubles.

Did she have to do this? NOPE

Did I appreciate it? YEP, and I made sure to thank them again.

I think if you ask nicely, and it is not the busiest day of the year, the hotels will do what they can to accommodate you.

Good Luck
