Has anyone ever used priceline to book flights? were you happy with what you got?

I've used them in the past and while I did get a good deal - the flight times were awful. I also screwed up with my dates and requested the wrong departure date. Once you submit your offer, it's a done deal if the offer is accepted. I tried changing my flight through both, the airline and priceline and neither would change the reservation. Just be really careful to double check your data before submitting it. We didn't use our 3 tickets - it was about a $500 lesson that I've never made again. I'd rather pay more for our travel arrangements and have flexibility to adjust as needed.

Thank you that is just what I thought. I wondered also what they would do in the event of a hurricane or something....I think I might just have to stick it out with southwest.

I will say that I have used Priceline for Hotels and it works very nicely.

I tried them when my oldest son decided quite late that he wanted to join the rest of us in Hawaii. I was bidding pretty close to the discounted fares I could find other places and they still always rejected the bid. It was worth the extra to me to be able to select his flight times.
