Priceline Express Deals

Any chance this is SSR? I'm thrown by the 'kids stay free' tag but there is no resort fee so does that rule Renaissance Orlando out? I'm using the priceline tracker but the price is so low for SSR... confused haha

The fact that Priceline shows the Renaissance as $122/night for your dates (the crossed out price on the Express deal) supports the idea that it is the Renaissance. No way it is Saratoga Springs, in my opinion. As for resort fees, I've read that Priceline can be inconsistent in reporting them. (See post 8615.) Either that or they have a deal whereby they're waived for this Express deal. (I wouldn't count on that though.)

No, to book a room and ticket (and/or dining plan) package, you have to book directly from Disney. (You can use a travel agent.)
Oh interesting. Are they trying to limit dining packages now and that’s why doing this Priceline thing?
Plus with tickets you would think they want to sell those but I guess single day tickets are pricey.

This thread was started in 2017. Pl has periodically offered opaque Disney bookings before this thread started.
Nothing new.

As far as I know, Disney has always required dining plans to be purchased as part of a package. And packages have to be bought directly from them. You can buy tickets direct from Disney that are not part of a package, including multiday tickets.

EDIT: see post 8638 below.

I do think they recently made an exception for annual pass holders and allowed you to add a dining plan on to a room-only annual pass holder reservation.

It’s new to me, but the flash sale they doing July 8-11th is normal?
I think a leaked announcement with specific dates is new. Inventory which shows up and disappears in a few days isn't new.

It's called a ticket less package. It goes back at least 10 years.

Ticketless packages exist, but I don't think you can book a dining plan without booking it as part of a room-and-dining package.

There's absolutely zero chance thats SSR. Just an FYI for anyone looking at an express deal. The crossed out price does give you a hint as well. SSR would be at least $500-600/night. So if they were selling rooms for $100, your savings would be much larger than 22%. It would be like 80% off, which I've never seen on express deals and I've been on this thread from the beginning. I hope that makes sense. Like the other poster said this is Renaissance.

Need to look at all the things together: Location (aka neighborhood), Star and guest rating (4* 8-guest) AND review count - which we can't see here, (plus maybe check for a resort fee) to give a good opinion.

Still, literally zero chance it is SSR. :)

You can plug all of the hidden deal info into my resort matcher in the future: http://bit.ly/JJTPEDeals

First screenshot from @Disney_Addicted says 100+ verified reviews, Disney Springs area. That is consistent with the Renaissance which is at 180 now. However, it doesn't show a resort fee and the Renaissance has one.

Adding the dining plan to an AP discounted room makes it a package.

I don't know of adding dining to a DVC points reservation makes it a package.

My prior statement apparently wasn't correct. It appears there is an exception for DVC members staying on points. I don't know if it applies to non-DVC-members staying on rented points.

Still, going back to the original question. I don't think you can book a room from Priceline and then add the Disney Dining Plan to it.
