Priceline Express Deals

What's the deal with Priceline saying the rooms only sleep two people?
Please provide specifics so we can examine and reply.

Related comment and posted in the past few months- there are known discrepancies in some listings.
For example- AS Sports rooms are listed as having an alarm clock and microwave.

I’m helping a friend book a trip in late October. Am I right in thinking there’s nothing on Priceline for October 27th to November 3rd? I’ve been checking, and I don’t think I see any deals. Is that right?

second reply....a few minutes later........

Disney room rate are quoted for 2 adults in the room.

There is an additional charge for a 3rd or 4th adult in a room.

The upcharge goes from low to high as you go from value to moderate to deluxe.

Is this the reference from PL that you are referring to?

"All rates displayed are for two guests unless otherwise noted."

Do 2 bookings....27th to the 30th with an ExprDeal....use some other method to book the same category of room at the same resort for Oct 27th to Nov 3rd

Remember.....PL ED's are for excess inventory that Disney is nervous about. Limited choices are the norm.

If what are you asking is............can you book an ExpDeal in a room from M-F....and then do a regular booking for the same category/view for Fri/Sat....and then be allowed to stay in the same room the entire time......the answer is Yes.

I have done that over at AS Sports
Thanks! No I understand that. I’ve booked CSR several times and never limited to King so was just curious….

As for the other question, when I’m on the booking page for the AKL PLE deal, I altered the dates and hit “update” and the system was going to let me book it to include the Friday night. I didn’t do it, but curious the deal didn’t disappear?

AoA, right? Sleeps up to 2 people? What??
I am just one person with an opinion but that does not appear to be a Disney resort based upon that screen shot. I can't think of any place that only has a double bed these days. Riviera sleeps 2 in a tower studio but that is all I can think of.....and they are in 100 percent demand.

Give us another screen shot with all the stuff you punched in....and/or tell us

Number of reviews, review average.......all in Bonnet Creek

I am updating my comments with this post.............it seems that they have a typo in the bedding.

They (PL) say Queen or Double or Sofa...BUT the real listing says Queen AND Double AND Sofa.

So.....since the number of reviews, and the $464, and the review average all match.....I do think it is AoA family suite.

Yep, AoA. So I don't get why they say 2 people.

I see AoA for $271 Oct 27th-Nov. 3rd, $2274 total. Also AKL for $277, same dates $2318. I'm in incognito mode so I can't take screen shots but everything lines up. Both Bonnet Creek, AoA 3 stars, 8+ rating, 300+ reviews. AKL 4 stars, 400+ reviews, 8+ rating.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for confirming AKL for my friend's dates in late October. I showed my friend this thread and all of your detective work. She decided to pull the trigger and she did indeed get AKL! Even the passholder rate for the same dates is something like $1300 more for the week. Crazy good deal. She and her family thank you!!

Does Priceline know that some of thier Disney resorts are being figured out online? Have they tried to mix it up before, to make it harder? Just wonder if Disney cares too.

"Figuring it out" has been going on for years.

They used to post cute little clues in the form of clever sentences.

I am going to make something up.........."This resort has a refreshing tropical air about it" - Poly

....or something like....."You can enjoy recent history in a fun and festive way"- Pop

There was even a cheat sheet shared here with all the cute descriptions with the resort identified by previous generations of detectives.

Yay! I'm so happy it worked out for her. Did she get a standard view?

What's the deal with Priceline saying the rooms only sleep two people?
PL only guarantees a room which will sleep 2. The overwhelming majority of rooms in the Orlando are can sleep 4. PL isn't guaranteeing the hotel in question is AoA.

PL is moving inventory. If Disney cared they'd stop dumping inventory. Some hotels offer a best rate guarantee. PL express deals rarely qualify.

Found a really great PLE for AoA in a family suite; when I do a search for 5 people the offer comes up. PLE bookings generally only guarantee 2 people, so what will happen when I import this thing into MDE? Will it give me slots for 5 or 2? If I increase my party size to 7 the offer no longer shows up, so it's aware that the room can't sleep more than 6.
