Priceline Express Deals

I’m looking for the AKL deals or any deluxe 10/31-3/11 but can’t see anything, should I try breaking down to single nights?

Update - booked it, and it was AS Music! Probably the least popular resort at WDW, but I'm just happy to be onsite with a rate that won't break the bank! Also, got an extra 5% off with a discount code. Not a huge amount, but every bit helps.
You might wind up with a newly renovated room there! They look pretty nice in the photos I've seen. :-)

This is my first time doing a blind booking onsite. Can someone walk me though the process of linking to MDE? I think I need the wholesale number?
I’m curious, based on what they quoted the original price for that deal- was it a standard room or a family suite? I know the bed choice was standard, but it’s funny to me that they would have the rack price listed so high for that.

Looking at Hotwire 3/20-3/24 and getting $342 4.5/5 4star. According to the map, it’s got to be an AK resort, but any idea which one or which room category? The original price is listed at $629. Any chance at all that this could be a club level room at AKL????

Just a standard room. After your post I kind of had my fingers crossed, but it seemed unlikely as the suites are all in the preferred section.

My guess is that both the standard rooms and the family suites are available via regular booking, so Hotwire defaulted to the higher price. On the flip side, Hotwire defaults to the lowest price for it in the revealed booking.

It’s still quite a bit less than the “discounted” rate on Disney’s own site or anywhere else I see, so I don’t have a case for the lowest price guarantee, but it IS misleading. I assume there’s nothing I can do about it.

That would be nice! We’ve got until May, so maybe. Do you know if standard rooms are on track to be renovated by then, and if only some, which section I should request?

I’m going solo with my daughter, so the double beds aren’t a problem, but I would like an in-room coffee maker. I really don’t understand why Disney is making people wait for renovations to add that simple and inexpensive amenity to the rooms.

They have completed 1 preferred building and are almost done with a second; they have just started their first standard building. When they finish the second preferred building it’s a safe bet they’ll start the next standard building. It’s taking just over 2 months per building although once The long side of the building is complete they return rooms that face away from the remaining construction to inventory.

There’s a dedicated all star music renovation thread on the resorts board and post 1 has what’s complete and what’s ongoing.

Thank you! I’m 4 months out, so it looks like there should be some renovations done when we go, I’ll check out that thread before putting in my room request.

Anyone know if third party bookings are less likely to have requests honored or if everyone is on an equal footing?

I'm not as familiar with recognizing Disney hotels on Hotwire. If someone could check, I don't think there's anything available for Feb. 8 - 15, correct?

Likely Jambo standard view but ymmv. People have reported getting different buildings, views. Original price doesn’t mean much. Hotwire defaults to highest op regardless of what actual room category you get.

And Grand Floridian is showing up for some dates with no airport shuttle as amenity. It’s the 4.5 star with no resort fee and no total number of TA reviews in Bonnet Creek. Ymmv.

Like Priceline, do you check Bonnet Creek on Hotwire? I'm also considering Mar. 21 to 28, if nothing available on Feb. 8 - 15.

I feel like it’s possible but not guaranteed... Last summer I booked AKL on Hotwire and the original price they’d listed matched for savanna view, and savanna view is what I got.

Hi again! I've been looking at the dates of Mar. 21 - 28. I'm seeing a Hot Deal for a 3.5 star hotel for $204. No resort free, and free shuttle. Could that be a Disney hotel? Fingers crossed!!
ETA: It also says free parking, so I guess it can't be a Disney hotel. :(
