Never been to Universal.... Has anyone got a deal with priceline, etc., during a busy time like Easter week or June; maybe booking last minute? Talking on-site hotels. Considering booking one night, I really just want the FOTL passes. How bad are the lines at peak times anyway? If we went 3 days to the parks could we fit it all in without the passes? Family of 4, two kids 11 & 7. I really can't afford the Loewe's Hotels. We would be fine with one of the nearby two or three star hotels... I'm just worried about the lines. By the way, what are the closest off site hotels? I know Doubletree is one. Thanks.

i have avoided using priceline and the other companies.

i know of one person that used them and ended up with a room a good distance from the parks.

look at the partner hotels on the UO packages.
check out the thread about Doubleday hotel.

for me, if i was going during a high holiday period, i would make the budget work for staying on site.
it would include perks of unlimited express line usage, boat, bus from hotel to park, etc.

once i book a vacation, i don't want to deal with any stress of fighting crowds, getting up early at the crack of dawn, long lines.
therefore, i stay onsite whenever i do universal.
