Priceline at Disney?

When I referred to the motels across Harbor, I was not referring to Hojo's. (I've heard great things about Hojo.) I was referring to Park Place Inn, Tropicana, Desert Inn, etc. that are directly across the street...not Fairfield, Hojo or any that are further down the street (just the ones directly across the crosswalk). Some people prefer hotels, rather than motels. When it is just my daughter and I, then I prefer a hotel...if my husband is along, I feel fine in a motel.

camolot inn was very nice too itss no motle it was nicer then alot hotles ive been to

I've never seen bedbugs, what do they look like and where exactly do I look for these things?

I hesitated to answer this because you may be better off just not knowing, lol. There are several threads on the DIS. See also: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bedbug

Basically, any place, no matter how clean, can get an infestation. They bite and then they get in your luggage, you take them home, and they infest your mattress which you then have to throw away.

I fear bedbugs. DBF fears cockroaches. I have accepted his refusal to eat at restaurants where there are known cockroaches, he accepts my refusal to sleep in hotels where there are known bedbugs (rumors count as "known" for these purposes:)).

We use Priceline all the time. Even with parking fees, the rates are much lower than anything you can book direct. We've stayed at just about all of the 3*'s in the DL Area (for PL). They are all very nice-Hyatt, Hilton, Marriott, Hilton Suites, Marriott Suites, Crowne Plaza. There is one that I don't prefer, but it's ok and they actually don't even charge for parking and have free internet, Holiday Inn Resort. Other than that one, the other hotels are really nice with comfortable beds-your pillowtop mattresses, etc... You have all the amenities of the larger chain hotels. They are not in walking distance, though, although there are a couple that you can walk from (but it is not super close). We have AP's, so we've got free parking, but you can also use the shuttles. We've never had a problem with smoking or beds, but I always call as soon as I win a bid and put my request in for non-smoking/2beds. You can also avoid the bed problem by getting 2 rooms (if you have a lg family). The rooms are between $40 & $60 per night, depending on the season. This is for bidding 3*. I wouldn't recommend bidding less than 3*. Also, never had a problem with bedbugs! Someone else posted and I would also recommend biddingfortravel.com. You can learn more about bidding, and see what hotels other people are winning, and for what dates. There are also some clean hotels across Harbor, as others have mentioned, that you can get good rates on, and then you can walk to the parks. You just have to see what price you can get for your dates and then decide what you would prefer in a hotel for your trip. Good luck & happy hotel hunting!
